During the climbing days, hygienic fresh cooked food will be provided by our own expedition cooks. In addition, dry foods including chocolates, cheese, nuts and muesli items will also add up.
Health and Fitness required
Ama DablamExpedition is categorized as very strenuous difficulty level. Previous experience is not compulsory but with past rock and ice climbing it will be easier for you to climb since this expedition needs high physical and mental fitness.
First Aid Kit/High Altitude Sickness
Nepal Adventure Team strongly suggests that you have your own personal first aid or medical kit. This trip takes you to a height above 4000 m within few days but the slow walks and regular stops between the walks will help you acclimatize on high altitude saving you from the high altitude sickness called AMS(acute mountain sickness). Gaining altitude without proper consideration of AMS is fatal. Hence, rest in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche is really necessary for the acclimatization.
Your Guide and Porter
The leader should have a significant knowledge in the climbing and trekking so that he can wonderfully and safely lead you, clearing any obstacles on the way. We, Nepal Adventure Team can proudly say that our guides(climbing, assistant, trekking guide) are highly qualified for the role. They are fully trained, experienced and licensed. They have undergone through a whole lot of trainings to make themselves useful in various situations and to make your journey a smooth and pleasant one.
Our porters are always fully equipped with the gears they need and as per the company policy, they are always insured and completely looked after. They are our backbone. We allow maximum weight of 30 kg to be carried by one porter. We make sure that they are well paid and well treated.
