FAQs

Nepal is a small landlocked country situated in between giant countries India and China. In Southeast Asia, Nepal is a country of mountains, rivers  and the diverse cultures.

Nepal in itself is a complete package, I would say. The land of brave Gurkha ancestors, adorned with the snow capped mountains including Mount Everest in the North, lowlands and beautiful landscapes with never ending rivers and lakes on the south is Nepal which consists of multicultural, multiethnic and multilingual society. The friendly people welcoming the guests with their smile and showcasing their rich local cultures and traditions will be something that will mesmerize you.

Nepal is totally safe to travel. It must be one of the fewest peaceful country in the world. Since it’s a new democratic country, small kind of internal political conflicts keep happening but it’s safe for the common people and the tourists.

It depends on so many things but the average walking for a normal person on an average day will be 5 to 7 hours. The distance covered will be different depending upon the person and his capability while, the more high you go, the more the altitude and the slope or steep will also slow you down.

Trekking is for everyone who dares. If you’re up for something new and challenging, trekking in Nepal is the best. Though not the essential requirement, being physically active and sound is better in the way that the trekking will be easier for you. For the 10 to 4 office person or other elderly, young ones and slow persons, you have to start exercising or preparing yourself weeks before you depart your country. This way, trekking is for everyone.

Your guide will be a licensed, experienced and a knowledgeable person and a fluent English speaker. We can also try to find the French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, German and Italian speaker if you prefer that way. He will be your company throughout your journey that’s why our guides are very familiar with the places and the trails. Your guide will have the vast knowledge about all the people, customs and traditions, floras and faunas, histories and the like.

Most of the trekking regions are colder than the other parts of the country since they are located on the high altitude. Summer and autumn is fine while monsoon and winter is the bad seasons comparatively. When the sun is out, the days are clear and warm if not, it can be colder and foggy in the mountainous areas. Weather all around the country can vary due to the different geographical structures. Overall, the climate in Nepal is moderate .

There are different types of trekking depending upon the factors such as your fitness level, your holiday duration and your choice. There is high altitude challenging trekking, moderate alpine region trekking, slow and easy trekking and more. Some like to explore around the lowlands, go among the people and learn their cultures, while some like to measure the mountain all the way to the top. Therefore, trekking can always be customized to the client’s needs.

The camping together with trekking is camping trekking. There is a guide, a chef, a Sherpa and the porters to accompany you. They will carry all the stuffs like tents, dining tent/toilet tent, foods, clothes, pads and mattresses, and more so that you can camp in the cozy way outside in the woods. This will be memorable all your life, we bet.

Certainly not. No matter how many of you or the size of your group, we are more than happy to find the suitable itinerary/trip for you.

That would be the best. First, be known that we do not sell or arrange the insurance.

Travelling is not risky at all as long as you follow the instructions of your guide. But shit happens you know. Emergency ambulance and helicopter rescue are some things that happen very rarely. So we advise you to buy the insurance compulsorily to cover any unexpected accidents. But when you buy the insurance, please make sure they know and understand about Nepal Adventure Team’s journey and its difficulty and the circumstances they might have to cover for.

Please, either bring the insurance paper with you when you travel or send the copy to us before you travel.

The places we take you to are always hygienic in terms of food and water. The meals are prepared in the best standard. Iodine is used in the tap water and you can also buy the mineral water. It’s best if you could carry the iodine tablets or liquid with you before flying.

You can get all kinds of dishes from typical Nepalese to the Tibetan, Indian, Continental, Mediterranean, and many more. You get proper breakfast and tea while get to choose from daal bhat tarkari(lentil, rice, curry),potatoes, pasta, momo, pizzas and the others in the lunch and dinner.

Along the popular trekking routes, you can get the electricity to recharge your phones and other electronic stuffs.

Mobile phone coverage will be a little bit weaker in the high altitude areas that’s why the telephones are available in most villages from where you can make international calls.

We provide down jackets and sleeping bags for the lodge trek while tents, mattresses and kitchen equipments for the camping treks. The rest of the personal and the climbing equipments has to be brought by yourself. Check the equipments and packing lists for more info.

After an early hot breakfast, you will start walking early to begin the day so that you can enjoy the morning sun bathing the peaks. You will carry the light back pack while your porters will handle the rest. By the late afternoon, you will have settled to your lodge and you can prepare for the good times with the friends, staffs and the locals.

Be noted that the expense will be covered by you which in turn will be compensated by your insurance.

Since the time is changing and the world’s getting more modern day by day, you can wear anything anywhere in the world and Nepal is no exception. Wear any comfortable clothes but warm and light. Protecting yourself from the cold is the point you should be concerned of while trekking rather than wearing fancy and comfy.

Bringing how much money is entirely up to you. We’d recommend you to bring still, a little bit more extra for the expenses you might do during or after the trip. We have a safe box in our office for your important stuffs and money.

Of course. There are many ATM machines in Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara Valley and is being slowly introduced in other places too. All types of cards are accepted. Visa , MasterCard, American Express and Credit cards.

Showing respect and care all has to come from the heart. If you’re thinking of showing respects, watching how people communicates, how they help each other and noticing how they behave in the public is necessary. Talk with courtesy, dress and walk appropriately. Seek permission before doing something. Take photos only with permission. Talk to your leader for the detailed ways.

There will be no problem at all. Our team will do all the necessary efforts to obtain the transportation and reservation as needed and to send you back home as soon as possible. However, your money won’t be refunded.
