Nepal Adventure Teams “Kailash Mansarovar tour via Lhasa” is a journey of lifetime experience as this trip leads to the top of worlds highest and largest plateau, surrounded with beautiful high peaks and amazing landscapes within amazing old Tibetan Buddhist culture of South West Tibet.

This trip starts with a scenic and interesting flight from Kathmandu with superb panorama of mountains to Tibet, Lhasa. Besides being holy it is also an incredible mountain of outmost beauty, with four grand faces representing jewels, as eastern face believed as crystal, the western ruby, the southern sapphire and northern gold. This interesting and holy journey includes stopover at sacred and beautiful Lake Manasarovar around Kailash area from here well head for holy walk / kora or circumambulation around the holy mountain Kailash.

The walk involves climb over highest point (holy spot) of Dolma-la pass 5,600 m and towards Lamchu valley visiting Zuthulpuk holy cave where 11th century saint Milereppa(a poet and guru) traveled around this area in search of Nirvana. After a tough holy walk getting back to Darchen town, return journey is back to Lhasa after a memorable Pilgrimage tour to Kailash Mansarovar with the excellent service of Nepal Adventure Team and its staffs.

Day 07:Drive Saga – Lake Mansarovar (410km – 8 Hrs)

Day 08:Lake Mansarovar to Darchen ( 4600m)-53km

Day 09:Darchen to Dirapuk (4750m)-19km

Day 10:Dirapuk- Dolma-La (5600m)- Zuthulpuk : 20km

Day 11:Zuthulpuk to Darchen to Saga

Day 12:Saga to Shigatse

Day 13:Shigatse to Lhasa

Day 14:Fly back to Kathmandu

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu 1350mWarm welcome in the airport and transfer to hotel. O/N at Hotel. Welcome dinner.

Day 02Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valleyDay for the preparation of the journey and also the guided Kathmandu sightseeing. O/N at Hotel.

Day 03Kathmandu – Lhasa (3,650m)Flight to Lhasa (3650m), Tibet. One of the most beautiful flights in the world when you can see different faces of Mount Everest. Rest of the day for acclimatization after you land. O/N at Hotel.

Day 04Sightseeing of LhasaFull day at Potala Palace to explore the magnificence of the palace. The palace was built by the Dalai Lama, first in the 7th century and rebuilt again in 17th century which covers 100 acres of palace, pavilions, a zoo and more. Also visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. O/N at Hotel.

Day 05Drive Lhasa – Shigatse (350 km – 8 Hrs)After breakfast in your hotel drive to Shigatse which is the 2nd largest city of Tibet. Built in 1447 by the first Dalai lama, the Tashilampo Monastery in Shigatse is a very important monastery in Tibet as it is known as seat of the Panchan Lama. O/N at Hotel.

Day 06Drive Shigatse – Saga (450km – 9 hrs)We start an early morning drive to Saga, please note this will be a long drive but on the way we can make enough stops for rest and lunch. O/N at Guest House.

Day 07Drive Saga – Lake Mansarovar (410km – 8 Hrs)This is an auspicious day for all of us having first glimpse of the Holy lake Mansarovar and view of Mt. Kailash from The Horr Chu pass. Stay in Chiu Gompa. O/N at Guest House.

Day 08Lake Mansarovar to Darchen ( 4600m)-53kmVisit Chiu Gompa and explore Lake Mansarover then drive to Darchen. Preparation day for the Kora. O/N at Local Guest House.

Day 09Darchen to Dirapuk (4750m)-19kmDrive to Serchung and start Kora ( trek) to Dirapuk. First day of circumambulation. O/N at Local Guest House.

Day 10Dirapuk- Dolma-La (5600m)- Zuthulpuk : 20kmContinue trek to Zuthulpuk, cross over Dolma- la Pass and O/N at Local Guest House.

Day 11Zuthulpuk to Darchen to SagaFinish third day of Kailash kora and reach at Saga. Trek about 10 Km to the point and take your transportation to drive back Saga via Darchen. O/N at Guest House.

Day 12Saga to ShigatseScenic drive back to Shigatse. O/N at  Hotel.

Day 13Shigatse to LhasaDrive back to Lhasa from Shigatse and transfer to Hotel.

Day 14Fly back to KathmanduAfter an amazing journey to holy Mount Kailash, fly back to Kathmandu to relax and enjoy the market browsing. Farewell dinner.

Day 15International departureTime to fly back home.
