Kalinchowk Bhagwati tour is a very popular short trip in Nepal which takes you to the religiously famous temple Kalinchowk Bhagwati temple, situated at the altitude of 3790 m, the highest point of this short adventure. It can be done in 2 or 3 days depending upon your time limits.

The hiking begins and ends in Charikot from where while beginning, you’ll be ascending through the picturesque landscapes and amazing rhododendron forests catching the occasional short glimpses of different birds and animals. Passing through Kuri, a small settlements en route you will arrive at Kalinchowk in order to enjoy the spectacular views of different snow-cappped mountains  Langtang Himal, Shisha Pangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal, Gauri Shankar etc naming few and even Kathmandu valley if you’re blessed enough for the visibility to be clear. Worship in the temple and get the blessings while you are there. Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu 1350mYou will be welcomed by our representative from Nepal Adventure Team, and then you will be transferred to the hotel. After getting in the hotel, you can have free time. In the evening we will offer you a “welcome dinner” at the Nepalese typical restaurant where you will enjoy a Nepalese culture program as well as Nepalese meal.

Day 02Kathmandu valley full day sightseeing After having breakfast we will start our tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu such as: Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Swoyambunath (Known as Monkey temple) and then we will visit to Bouddhanath Stupa and continue sightseeing at Pashupatinath in the afternoon. Overnight in hotel.

Day 03Drive to Charikot and hike to KuriDrive all the way to Charikot(150 km) for about 5 hrs and arriving on Charikot trek uphill to Kuri, a wonderful small village for the night stay.

Day 04Hike to Kalinchowk summitEarly morning, hike to Kalinchowk summit for the wonderful sunrise view from where you can also enjoy the wonderful panaromas of different mountains and the picturesque valleys along with the varied landscapes. Overnight at Kuri(optional) or you can also come down the same day if you wish to.

Day 05Trek to Charikot and drive back to KathmanduBreathing in the cool breeze and enjoying the good walk in the terrain, trek towards Charikot. After arriving at Charikot travel back to Kathmandu with the scenic drive. Farewell dinner in Kathmandu hotel.

Day 06International departure We will be missing you terribly this day since you will be flying but however, we will be transferring you to the airport and send you off in the most hospitable manner with the presents from our side.

Passport & Visa

All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Getting a visa must be the easiest one though. You just have to go to the Nepalese Embassy/consulate in your country or it can also be obtained upon your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. To get a visa, you need to bring 2 pp size photos, visa fees and valid passport.

Private car, bus and walking. All the cost is already included unless otherwise noted.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is a must when you travel abroad. Therefore before you come to Nepal, please make sure you have your insurance documents with you since our insurance companies cannot insure foreign nationals. Because of the reason that they cover all the expenses if you face some unfortunate happenings and you have to be rescued or medically assisted during the trip or if your belongings are lost or stolen.


Solo Travellers

We have arranged for the single traveller to pay for the single trip only. He has to share the accommodation with other person of same sex though while he can also join the other groups.

 

Foods and Accommodations

Only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu while full meals during the trek. The accommodation will be on the best quality hotels on twin sharing basis in Kathmandu and teahouse lodge during trek.

Note: Single room is always available but only on special request and spending extra bucks.

You can travel any time of the year for this trip.

Additional Money

Every traveller is different and they spend their own way. Some spend on food and drinks while other on souvenirs. Either way, consider your own spending habits and also tipping, emergency fund($200), etc before you pack up and leave.

 

Trip Specific Safety

Your guide is always there for your safety concerns and looking after your valuables. But you have to be equally careful. Carry some sort of wallet or belt for your important documents and money. The hotels have the safety deposit box where the lock is recommended before passing the luggage.
