A beautiful and romantic village, West to Kathmandu and just 95 km away from the hectic capital city is Bhumlichowk. If anyone wants to experience a typical Nepalese cultured society, traditional  and culturally rich village in short days, this is the right choice for all.

A steep and rough 3-5 hrs walk will take you to the heart of the village. A small village with approx. 3500 people residing is not to be missed when travelling to Pokhara or Chitwan since this heavenly place has a lot to offer to the tourists. Inhaling the fresh air while experiencing the typical local cultures and lifestyles with the panoramic mountain views in the background is sure to blow your mind.

Bhumlichowk has diverse groups of people and so is the cultures. Magar is dominant followed by Chepang / Praja, Gurung, Newar, Chhetri in minimal number. The temple of Bhairabi, Bhairabi Tar, Dudh Pokhari, etc are the attractions in here. Like in other parts of the country, the different festivals are celebrated. Most importantly, one can have the wonderful views of Dhaulagiri range from west to east Gaurishankar including Annapurna Range, Machapuchare, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal Range.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu 1350mWarm welcome in Nepal and transfer to hotel.

Day 02Drive to Charaudi, Rafting and hike to Bhumlichowk villageFirst we will get to the popular white water rafting spot Charaudi, do a couple of hours rafting then we will hike towards popular Bhumlichowk village. Passing through the typical local settlements and rough terrains, within few hours nearly by dusk, we will arrive in the village where the eager villagers will be waiting for our arrivals with the garlands and smiles. Cultural music and dance in the night.

Day 03Explore the lifestyles of local people Wake up in the morning to be served by the local tea and snacks. Walk with the locals, watch their customs and daily usual works they do, explore their cultures as a whole. Nothing can beat the local home-stay experience.

Day 04Hike down to Charaudi and back to KathmanduEarly morning, we will hike up the village for the sunrise view. Bokhara Tar, Bhairabhi Temple, thrilling view point Dhungagade for amazing mountain scenery and Mahabharat Parbat range, beautiful valleys of Bhudhi Gandaki and Trishuli River are all on the menu. After the farewell to the villages, we will hike down to Charaui to get back to Kathmandu.
