A picturesque and remarkable adventure to Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli climb, around Annapurna Sanctuary, where Nepal Adventure Team and it’s expert guides leads you in the heart of great Annapurna Himalaya at base camp and further towards Tent Peak for classic climb.

Nepal Adventure Team to Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli climb around Annapurna Sanctuary leads to Nepal North Mid-West Himalaya of Annapurna mountain range, into lovely forest of tall rhododendron, magnolia, blue pines, firs and oaks trees where in flowering season this rolling green hills turns into a natural garden in the shade of towering snowcapped peaks.

From Annapurna base camp our real adventure begins climb of Tent / Tharpu Peak, leading at high camp 5,200 m, with proper rest and acclimatization climb to the summit top.

Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli stands at 5,663 m /18,575 ft climbing grade as PD + meaning “Peu Difficile” some technical difficult and walking on glaciers, grade used as per Swiss / French Alpine System.

Nepal Adventure Team expert guides will fix ropes for safe climb to the top of Tent Peak / Thrapu  Chuli and on route to the summit. After an enjoyable and challenging adventure climbing Tent Peak return back to Pokhara via alternate route towards Jhinu with hot spring and then concluding this awesome adventure with a short drive to Pokhara and towards Kathmandu with great service and management of Nepal Adventure Team.
 


Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines.

Day 02:In Kathmandu sightseeing tour at places of interest.

Day 03:Drive to Pokhara 860m (220 km) - 06 hrs.

Day 04:Drive to Nayapul 1,100m and trek to Gandruk 1,950m - 05 hrs.

Day 05:Trek to Chomrong 1,951m - 06 hours.

Day 06:Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo 2,050m - 06 hours.

Day 07:Trek to Machapuchare Base Camp 3,720m via Deurali - 06 hrs.

Day 08:Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4, 095m - 04 hours.

Day 09:Rest day for acclimatization at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10:Trek to Tent peak Base Camp 4,450 m / 14,600 ft - 05 hrs.

Day 11:Trek to High Camp 5,200 m / 17,056 ft - 04 hrs.

Day 12:Ascent Tent Peak summit and return to Base Camp - 06 hrs.

Day 13:Reserve day in case of bad weather condition.

Day 14:Trek back to Annapurna Base Camp - 05 hrs.

Day 15:Trek to Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hours.

Day 16:Trek to Jhinu-Danda 1,700m via Chomrong - 06 hours.

Day 17:Trek to Pothana 1, 900 m - 05 hrs.

Day 18:Trek to Kande 1,460m and drive to Pokhara.

Day 19:Drive / fly back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs.

Day 20:International departure for homeward bound.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines. On arrival at Kathmandu international airport terminal Nepal Adventure Team staff and guide will receive you with a warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu around the interesting area of Thamel. After refreshment our guide / leader will brief with information regarding hotels, Nepali culture, sightseeing tours and Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli climb around Annapurna Sanctuary with a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with folk cultural program.

Day 02In Kathmandu sightseeing tour at places of interest. After breakfast our city guide will take you on a half day tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, as Kathmandu valley is steeped in ancient history and culture, full of world heritage sites and monuments. After an enjoyable and interesting time back to hotel with afternoon free at leisure and preparation for Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli climb.

Day 03Drive to Pokhara 860m (220 km) - 06 hrs. Early morning an interesting scenic drive for about 06 hours to popular tourist city at Pokhara on the main busy highway, the drive carry’s on with fantastic vista of snowcapped mountains of Mt. Annapurna-Manaslu and Mt. Dhaulagiri with the famous beautiful peak of Machapuchere the Fish Tail shaped mountain which is unclimbed so far and well respected and regarded as sacred mountain in its natural structure, at Pokhara transfer to respective hotels by the serene Phewa lake. Flying option a sweeping scenic flight of 30 minutes to Pokhara on arrival our staff will transfer you to respective hotels by the Phewa Lake side with afternoon at leisure.

Day 04Drive to Nayapul 1,100m and trek to Gandruk 1,950m - 05 hrs. With grand morning views of Annapurna Mountains drive leads away from Pokhara on the Beni /Baglung highway to Nayapul where most of the trek to Annapurna area begins and ends, from here walk follows the Modi River upstream to Syali Bazaar and then few hours climb on stone steps through village of Kimche to reach at Gandruk for overnight in the comfort of nice and cozy lodge with views of Annapurna Himal with time to explore the largest Gurung village in the Annapurna region. The men folk of Gandruk village have long tradition of supplying some of the finest soldiers in the Gorkha Regiment to both the British and Indian armies.

Day 05Trek to Chomrong 1,951m - 06 hours. Morning walk leads to a short climb and with a long descend to Kimrong valley in the cool shade of a forest, to Kimrong village with uphill for few hours all the way to reach top of Chomrong village, from here a short downhill walk to our overnight stop at Chomrong village, this is the last permanent Gurung village and the gateway to Annapurna Base Camp &Sanctuary trekking.

Day 06Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo 2,050m - 06 hours. From Chomrong walk leads to a short descend over terraced farm fields and Chomrong river, after the bridge an uphill for an hour to Sinuwa-danda, a small place with few lodges offering great views of surrounding landscapes, from here walk leads into cool forest till Bamboo is reached, located by Modi River in the middle of bamboo, rhododendron and oaks forest. From here an hour walk on gradual up to Dovan for overnight stop, situated in the middle of forest at Modi River gorge.

Day 07Trek to Machapuchare Base Camp 3,720m via Deurali - 06 hrs. From here onwards air gets cooler and fresher entering into picturesque Annapurna Base Sanctuary, walk leads on gradual path with short gentle up to Himalaya Hotel near large Hinko Cave, beneath Huin-Chuli peak. From here walk over avalanche area, after crossing a small bridge near Deurali with last lodge before Machapuchare Base Camp, from here onward vegetation and tree lines fades for short bushes, follow Modi river upstream with final steep climb to Machapuchare Base Camp for overnight stop.

Day 08Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4, 095m - 04 hours. A great morning with views of Annapurna mountains, a short walk to Annapurna base camp at 4.095 m high, walk leads on grassy uphill reaching higher elevation to Annapurna Base Camp with stunning views of Annapurna peaks at the closest. After a pleasant walk reaching at Annapurna Base Camp an amazing place with few good lodges offering incredible scenery of snowcapped peaks that circle the base camp, afternoon free to marvel the surrounding mountain scenery. Annapurna area was first explored by British Adventurer Col. James O.M. 'Jimmy' Roberts in the year 1956 and exposed to the world as the 'Sanctuary of Gods'. The Sanctuary has been christened as "Annapurna Sanctuary" ever since.

Day 09Rest day for acclimatization at Annapurna Base Camp. Necessary rest day for acclimatization for the climb of Tent peak, our guide offers instruction with climbing techniques and skills, rest of the day just relax and marvel the awesome mountain views.

Day 10Trek to Tent peak Base Camp 4,450 m / 14,600 ft - 05 hrs. After a pleasant rest at Annapurna Base Camp our route leads across snow-covered moraine rocky path towards icy trail for an hour reaching at Annapurna south glacier. Walk offers views of peaks, then after hours of good climb reaching a flat area to set base camp, first night camping with tents for, afternoon free preparation for the climb.

Day 11Trek to High Camp 5,200 m / 17,056 ft - 04 hrs. Adding extra day to make the climb more accessible, from base camp heading further with a steep climb along rocky and icy glacier with lot of boulders, climb continue to reach high camp at 5,200 meters, afternoon free preparation for the summit bid with time to marvel the sunset views over high mountains.

Day 12Ascent Tent Peak summit and return to Base Camp - 06 hrs. Our main Big Day! An early start with climb on snow slope with steep ice and rocks some technical sections to reach summit top; our expert guide will fix ropes where necessary, finally after a hard climb reaching top of the summit at 5,663 m, feeling on top of the world with incredible panorama of mountains that encircles the summit of Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli. After a demanding and challenging climb descend back to base camp with cautious and taking care over the crevices and ice / rock falls.

Day 13Reserve day in case of bad weather condition. An extra day as contingency, in case of unfavorable weather conditions sometimes weather can be unpredictable around Himalaya, so an extra day is necessary, if all goes well can be used on the way to Chomrong village or at Pokhara with short day walk enjoying the great scenery along the way.

Day 14Trek back to Annapurna Base Camp - 05 hrs. Morning after breakfast from base camp, cleaning up the base camp and packing gears, head back to Annapurna Base Camp via an icy path, a normal moderate walk of about five hours to overnight stop at Annapurna base camp.

Day 15Trek to Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hours. After a grand time at Annapurna base camp & sanctuary, morning walk on downhill path all the way to Deurali, then with few ups and downs and gradual winding trail into serene forest and back to tree lines reaching at Bamboo for the overnight stop.

Day 16Trek to Jhinu-Danda 1,700m via Chomrong - 06 hours. From Bamboo a short steep up to KhuldiGhar, then on the winding downhill path through dense forest to Sinuwa-danda, from here descend to Chomrong khola, after the bridge an uphill walk for less than an hour reaching at Chomrong village for rest or lunch break, from Chomrong another short up to the top of Chomrong ridge, then our route leads downhill to Jhinu-danda, for overnight stop, Jhinu offers refreshing hot springs just 20 mins walk downhill by the bank of Modi river.

Day 17Trek to Pothana 1, 900 m - 05 hrs. At Jhinu with a good moment, morning walk on the downhill for an hour to Modi River, then over the bridge with gradual walk and a short climb reaches to Landruk village, after brief time here continue walk on the long winding trail through terraced farm fields and villages then reaching in a small cool forested area, from here an uphill walk for 40 minutes to Deurali ridge at 2,150 m. After Deurali a nice pleasant walk through forest with grand views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu including the Fish Tail peak all the way to Pothana village is reached for overnight stay located in the middle of alpine forest with fantastic views of the snowcapped mountains and valley.

Day 18Trek to Kande 1,460m and drive to Pokhara. After a nice time around mid hill villages, morning walk with moderate climb to Australian Camp /Thulo-Kharka with super views of mountains and then downhill for an hour to Kande on the Pokhara / Baglung highway. From here a short drive back to Pokhara after a wonderful time up in the high Annapurna Mountains.

Day 19Drive / fly back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs. Morning a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, after a wonderful trip to Annapurna Sanctuary with Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli climb, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure for relaxation and shopping souvenirs. (Flying options as per the flight time our staff transfer you to Pokhara domestic airport for 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu)

Day 20International departure for homeward bound. Your last day in amazing Nepal as per international flight time our staff will transfer you to international airport for your flight back home or to next port of call, after a great and enjoyable adventure on Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli climb around Annapurna Sanctuary with outmost grand service of Nepal Adventure Team and its guides and porters.
