Beautiful Langtang Circuit Trekking is one of the best trekking area around central Himalayas of Langtang region. This trekking is done around Nepal’s 2nd largest Langtang National Park(1710 sq km), established in early 1976, the first National Park around Himalaya. This fabulous Langtang Circuit Trekking leads through high hills of Tamang and Bhotias traditional villages enriched with Buddhist religion, culture, and tradition of Tibetan origin.
On this trek where you will be completely engrossed with amazing vista from Annapurna I(8,091m / 26,545ft), Annapurna South(7,219m-23,693ft), 08th highest Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m, Ganesh Himal(7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m) Ghengu Liru(Langtang II, 6571m / 21,560ft), Kimshun (6,745m/22,137ft) and Shalbachum(6,918m / 22,699ft) to the south and the Chimsedang Lekh which forms a ridge of peaks which includes Naya-Kanga (5,846m) and Gangchempo terminating with Dorje Lakpa (6,980m/22,929ft). To the east, theres the upper meadows of the Langtang end in a massive mountain wall, forming the frontier with Tibet.
Starting this wonderful adventure with a drive to Syabrubesi village and then higher up to beautiful Langtang valley at Kyanjin Gompa, youll walk past Ghoretabela and Langtang traditional farm village. In Kyanjin, enjoy the views of surrounding mountains and then head to holy Gosainkund Lake where thousands of pilgrims of both Hindu and Buddhist religion visits here for a holy bathe once a year in the month of August at Full Moon day. Next youll be going over the high pass of east, Laurabina pass,the highest spot of this adventure before heading back towards Kathmandu.

Day 17:International departure for homeward bound.
Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines. On arrival at Kathmandu international airport, Nepal Adventure Team's staffs will receive you with a warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu, Thamel. After refreshment our guide / leader will brief with information regarding hotels, Nepali culture, Langtang Circuit Trekking with a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with folk cultural program.
Day 02Preparation day in KathmanduWe separate this day for the preparation of the entire journey. You will be informed of all the trekking plans and the packing lists, what you can expect and how it can be more interesting. This day can be important to most of the people before beginning the journey. Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu is optional when if intended, you can visit a number of world heritage listed places .
Day 03Drive to Syabrubesi 1,460 m - 07 hours. Our first day journey heads north passing many towns and farm villages of Kakani, Trisuli and Ramche. The air gets cooler reaching higher altitude at Langtang National Park in Dhunche town,1965 m high, a major town of Langtang and Rasuwa district. After a brief stop, journey continues further downhill on the winding road for another hour to reach our first overnight stop at Syabrubesi village.
Day 04Trek to Lama Hotel 2,430m - 06 hours. The first day walk starts with a climb for few hours, and then walk gets gentle on the gradual path through terraced farms and scattered villages. Trek continues to Bamboo for the stop. After a nice stop walk leads on the uphill trail into cool forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines tree lines and gorge following the Trisuli River fed from the glacier of Langtang peaks. Lama hotel for the night stay.
Day 05Trek to Langtang village 3,430m - 06 hours. Around mid day, the continuous walk take you to a nice place, Ghoretabla (horse stable). After lunch break, afternoon trek continues to our overnight stop at Langtang village after walking for few hours. Langtang village is a nice, moderate sized village of Tamang and Bhotia’s tribe people who are the natives of Langtang region for hundreds of years.
Day 06Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,850m - 04 hours. The morning walk follows a short steep uphill where tree lines declines for short bushes. Walk slowly enters the wide glacial valley with incredible views of surrounding high snowcapped peaks,Dorji Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Tsego ri, Langshisha and Naya Kanga. After a scenic walk, reaching at Kyanjin Gompa for overnight stop and next day rest, a wonderful spot with wide green pastures or grazing land for Yaks and other cattles.
Day 07At Kyanjin Gompa rest and hike. A necessary rest day at Kyanjin for acclimatization(optional hike to a hilltop of Tsergo Ri at 5,033m). The climb to Tsergo Ri is quite steep and requires good physical fitness, but offers awesome views of high mountains. Afternoon, rest and enjoy the stunning peaks and explore around the area.
Day 08Trek to Lama Hotel - 06 hrs. After a great time with rest day at Kyanjin around beautiful Langtang valley, starting today with a long day walk but much easier on downhill trail most of the way to Lama Hotel through Langtang village and Ghoretablea following the Langtang Khola.
Day 09Trek to Thulo Syabru 2,211m - 05 hrs. Morning, walk through farm terraces of millets, corns and wheats depending upon the season. On leaving the farm area our route leads uphill on the old landslide sections, and then on the winding uphill trail to Upper or Thulo Syabru for overnight stop, where houses are lined up in a row like a locomotive.
Day 10Trek to Shing Gompa 3,330m - 05 hours. You start the walk again on a steep path through lovely forest of rhododendron, pines and hemlocks with fantastic views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Langtang Lirung. After hours of uphill climb, the walk reaches on a gentle path to Shing Gompa (also called Chandanbari) for overnight stop. There is small settlement with few lodges and small cheese processing factory located here.
Day 11Trek to Gosainkunda 4,460 m - 05 hrs. From Shing Gompa, our walk leads us to a second part of our adventure to holy Gosainkunda. Start with a slow climb through thick pine and rhododendron forest then higher to Lauri Binayak pass where elusive and rare Red Panda are found. Descend to our overnight stop, holy Gosainkunda Lake area. People believe pristine pond was formed due to digging of the land by Trishul (a holy Trident) of Lord Shiva so thousands of pilgrims from India and Nepal visits Gosainkunda every year.
Day 12Trek to Gopte 3,440 m over Laurabina pass at 4,609 m - 07 hrs. Today will be the hardest day of this journey as you climb over Laurabina eastern pass at 4,609. After the pass downhill most of the way with few short ups and downs to our overnight stop at a small place of Gopte Odar situated in the middle of juniper, rhododendron and pines forest between Langtang and Helambu area.
Day 13Trek to Kutumsang 2,445m via Mange-Ghot 3,285 m - 06 hrs. From Gopte, morning walk leads to a high ridge at Thadepati, where Helambu and Kathmandu trekking trail meets. Thadepati offers super views of snowcapped peaks and wonderful rolling hills and valley. After a nice break here walk leads on the downhill path most of the way to our overnight stop at Kutumsang village.
Day 14Trek to Gulbhanjyang 2,125 m - 05 hours. Morning walk leads on winding uphill trail, through farm fields, terraces and many farm villages with few ups and downhill walk, then walking into a patch of forest with grand views of surrounding landscapes and high snow capped mountain range from Ganesh, Langtang to Jugal Himal, then this pleasant walk completes for the day at Gul-Bhanjyang village.
Day 15Trek to Chisapani Danda 2,195 m - 05 hours. Morning starts with a short uphill walk through many farmlands and small villages and into forest with wonderful scenery throughout the walk to arrive at Patibanjayang village. Then an uphill path for an hour to Chisopani danda for the last overnight stop. Chisopani village is located on a ridge of the hill on route Kathmandu, Langtang, Helambu and Nagarkot. This scenic spot offers views of Langtang-Jugal Himal range with Ganesh-Manaslu and Annapurna range with stunning sunrise.
Day 16Trek to Sundarijal 1,380m an hour drive back to Kathmandu. After catching the morning sunrise views over snowcapped mountains, our last day walk of this adventure leads through nice pleasant forest and many farmlands on gradual downhill path, with a super views of Kathmandu Valley, all the way to Sundarijal (meaning beautiful water), a magnificent spot with small forest and fresh water streams, a weekly picnic spot for Kathmandu people. A short drive takes you back to Kathmandu with rest of the afternoon free for individual activities and shopping.
Day 17International departure for homeward bound. Your last day in amazing Nepal. As per international flight time, our staffs transfer you to international airport for your flight back home or to next port of call, after a great and remarkable adventure around Langtang Valley & Holy Gosainkunda Lake with wonderful service of Nepal Adventure Team's staffs.
Passport & Visa
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Getting a visa must be the easiest one though. You just have to go to the Nepalese Embassy/consulate in your country or it can also be obtained upon your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. To get a visa, you need to bring 2 pp size photos, visa fees and valid passport.

Means of Transport
Tourist bus or private vehicle and walking. All the cost is already included unless otherwise noted.
Travel insurance is a must when you travel abroad. Therefore before you come to Nepal, please make sure you have your insurance documents with you since our insurance companies cannot insure foreign nationals. Because of the reason that they cover all the expenses if you face some unfortunate happenings and you have to be rescued or medically assisted during the trip or if your belongings are lost or stolen.
We have arranged for the single traveller to pay for the single trip only. He has to share the accommodation with other person of same sex though while he can also join the other groups.
Foods and Accommodations
All meals are provided during trek while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. Generally, traditional Nepalese(daal, bhat, curry and pickle), Tibetan, Continental, Indian and other cuisines are available in the local lodges/teahouses. There will also be welcome and farewell dinner for guests in Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu, youll be staying in the best quality standard hotel, on twin-sharing basis. On trekking, accommodations are simple yet comfortable on mountain lodges. Toilets and bathrooms need to be shared in some teahouses.
Note: Single room is always available but only on special request and spending extra bucks.
Health and Fitness required
No previous experience is required since its a moderate trek. But you being a healthy person, physically and mentally is very important. It is better if we prepare ourselves few days/weeks prior to the start of the trek by jogging and running regularly since well be walking a lot of ups and downs in the hills, ridges, villages and mountains. Participants with the pre-existing medical conditions should inform us beforehand.
First Aid Kit/High Altitude Sickness
Nepal Adventure Team strongly suggests that you have your own personal first aid or medical kit. This trip takes you to some high altitudes though not much but the slow walks and regular stops between the walks will help you acclimatize on high altitude saving you from the high altitude sickness called AMS(acute mountain sickness). Gaining altitude without proper consideration of AMS is fatal.
Your Guide and Porter
Since the mountain trekking take you to the remote places over high altitudes, the leader should have a significant knowledge in the field so that he can wonderfully and safely lead you there clearing any obstacles on the way. We,Nepal Adventure Team can proudly say that our guides are highly qualified for the role. They are fully trained, experienced and licensed. They have undergone through a whole lot of trainings to make themselves useful in various situations and to make your journey a smooth and pleasant one.
Our porters are always fully equipped with the gears they need and as per the company policy, they are always insured and completely looked after. They are our backbone. We allow maximum weight of 25kg to be carried by one porter. We make sure that they are well paid and well treated.
Best Time to Travel
The best time for trekking to the Langtang region is Spring(March to May) and Autumn(September to November) because the weather is warm and moderate while the view and visibility is the best. The winter is also somehow fine but the monsoon is the less frequented time because of the occasional heavy rain and when the roads might be troublesome.
Equipments and Packing Lists
After booking with Nepal Adventure Team, please pack necessary items as listed:
1. Travel documents: passport, visa(if you have), travel insurance, air tickets, voucher, passport photo (x 2)
2. Bank card or credit cards, travellers cheque, etc
3. Comfortable boots and runners/sports shoes.
4. 6-8 pairs of socks woolen / cotton.
5. Fleece jacket, Down / Duvet Jacket and Rain / windproof jacket.
6. Gloves- 2 pairs.
7. T-shirts 4-6 pcs, shirts(woolen/cotton).
8. A cap for day and a woolen hat or Balaclava for evening / morning wear.
10. Short and tracksuits.
11. Sleeping bag (4 seasons) with inner liner.

Trekking has been long established in Nepal,so the itineraries are modified and moderated in such a way that you can take it easy and slow. DO NOT RUSH AND ENJOY. There is plenty of time and guide will keep track of you all the time. It might be a bit harder or a bit more colder but you will get used to it.
Every traveller is different and they spend their own way. Some spend on food and drinks while other on souvenirs. Either way, consider your own spending habits and also tipping, emergency fund($200), etc before you pack up and leave.
Trip Specific Safety
Your guide is always there for your safety concerns and looking after your valuables. But you have to be equally careful. Carry some sort of wallet or belt for your important documents and money. The hotels have the safety deposit box where the lock is recommended before passing the luggage.

Possession or using of any illegal drugs is totally intolerable. Its because of the law that respects the local people and their culture. The group will be expelled in such case.

The groups safety is very important for us. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Even though every effort is made to go as planned, a little change might occur in the itinerary because of weather conditions, health condition of a person, unexpected natural disasters, etc. The leader will try to ensure the trip runs as planned, but please be prepared to be flexible just in case.
