Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)On arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, Nepal Adventure Team staffs will receive you with a warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotel in the hub of Kathmandu. After refreshment, our guide /leader will brief you regarding hotels, Nepalese customs, culture, traditions and about tour to Everest Base Camp. You can look forward to the surprising welcome dinner. Day 02Preparation day and sightseeing (optional)This day is for the preparation for the overall journey while you arrange all the documents, pack all the necessary stuffs and go out for strolling around. Some also prefer to go sightseeing this day.
Day 03Fly to Lukla (2820 m) and trek to Phakding (2640 m) - 04 hoursAfter having breakfast early on, head towards the domestic airport for a short scenic flight to Lukla. 35 mins is for the incredible views of snow capped mountains range with glimpse of Everest. From Lukla, after a refreshing break, follow your guide as the walk leads downhill and on gradual winding passes through several nice Sherpa traditional villages with cheerful smiles welcoming you. Your first overnight is at Phakding village by the glacial river Dudh Kosi. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/coffee Tea-house lodge.
Day 04Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) - 05 hoursThis morning walk is pleasant through beautiful alpine woodland of pines and rhododendron trees with views of snow capped peaks. Walk follows the river upstream crossing several bridges and entering the Sagarmatha National Park. This park is listed as the highest National Park and one of the World Heritage Sites. As the walk progresses, go all the way to Namche Bazaar, a wonderful village,where the colorful houses serving as hotels and lodges built in 'U' shape. Namche Bazaar will be the last place with modern facilities of ATM, banks, post office, cyber cafe, bakeries, restaurants, various shops and stores. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/coffee Tea-house lodge.
Day 05Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursionNamche Bazaar an ideal spot for rest day and acclimatization before heading higher. Morning after breakfast take a short walk to the top of Namche at National Park headquarter area with a museum full of informations regarding Khumbu / Everest area of Sherpa religions,history, mountaineering to flora and fauna. This place offers stunning views of Ama-Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtega, Kwangde, Khumbila,Mt. Everest and Lhotse. Head back to lodge for lunch and explore around the market later on. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/coffee Tea-house lodge.
Day 06Trek to Thyangboche (3867 m) - 05 hoursAfter a pleasant day in Namche, morning trek leads uphill for a short while following a nice winding trail into rhododendron and pine trees enjoying the fabulous views of Ama-Dablam (one of the most beautiful peaks in all Himalaya). This nice walk also offers great views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku and Kwangde. The second half of the journey takes us through a pristine forest to Thyangboche Monastery. Here, the mountaineers get blessed from the high lama (priest) for better success and safe expedition. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/coffee Tea-house lodge.
Day 07Trek to Dingboche (4260 m) - 05 hoursAfter breakfast, walk downhill through lovely rhododendron and pines forest to cross a bridge over Imja river. Make a moderate climb to reach at Pangboche village with houses built of stones (the last permanent village before Everest Base Camp). Leaving the tree lines behind, walk slowly to an exposed area with super views of Mt Ama-Dablam at close distance. Dingboche for overnight stop. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/coffee Tea-house lodge.
Day 08Dingboche- Rest and acclimatizeAnother rest day at Dingboche for safe and enjoyable trekking.As the altitude gains rapidly from here onwards, having a rest day helps to acclimatize well to reach Everest Base Camp safe and sound. Dingboche offers stunning views North Face of Ama-Dablam, Island or Imjatse Peak, Nuptse and Lhotse mountains. A short high climb on the ridge provides views of world’s 5th highest Mt Makalu and Amphu Labtsa peak. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/coffee Tea-house lodge.
Day 09Trek to Lobuche (4930 m) - 05 hours Morning walk follows an uphill path for an hour and then a nice pleasant walk to Thugla, located at the junction joining Pheriche valley, Dingboche and Cholatse pass, Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar. After a lunch break at Thugla, climb up to the Khumbu Glacier with many memorials of unfortunate mountaineers and climbers. From here, a gradual walk to Lobuche for overnight stop. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/coffee Tea-house lodge.
Day 10Trek to Gorakhshep (5170 m) and to Everest Base Camp (5334 m)Take the trail through once vast Gorakshep lake walking on Moraine and icy trails. Gorakshep with 4-5 nice lodges and the last place with lodge facilities before Everest Base Camp;continue your walk to the main highlight of this adventure, the Everest Base Camp walking over Moraine overlooking at Khumbu Icefall. Even though the walk is strenuous, you get to view Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori and enjoy the incredible moment for an hour at base camp. At last, return back to Gorakshep for overnight stop.

Day 11Hike to Kalapathar (5545 m) trek to Pheriche (4240 m) - 05 hoursStart early to reach the highest point of this adventure with a steep climb for 2 hrs to Kala Patthar, which offer awesome panorama of surrounding giant peaks with Mt. Everest at stone throw distance towards East. After an incredible moment and with amazingly high spirit, head down to Gorakshep and continue trek to Pheriche valley for the overnight stop. Pheriche is a temporary settlement near Dingboche with more than 20 lodges and teahouses with grand views of Taboche, Cholatse, Ama-Dablam and
Mt. Cho Oyu.

Day 12Trek to Namche (3440 m) - 6 hoursTrek down through the hillside covered by rhododendron and juniper trees. After crossing the prayer-flag festooned bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, our trail follows the Dudh Koshi gorge descending rapidly through pine forests. In the forest, you might come across colorful pheasants and mountain goats. The path eventually reaches Sansa from where you can enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse mountains. Pass some winding trails to reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 13Trek back to Lukla - 04 hoursA pleasant and relaxed walk enjoying the surrounding scenery as the trail leads back to Lukla on the last day walk of this fabulous adventure. Take few short uphill climb to get back to Lukla for last overnight stop around Khumbu and Everest.

Day 14Fly back to KathmanduThe morning flight takes you to Kathmandu in 35 mins. After breakfast, our city guide will take you on a half day tour around Kathmandu at your places of interest, as Kathmandu valley is full of ancient history and culture, full of world heritage sites and monuments. You can do souvenir shopping and exploring around.

Day 15Departure from KathmanduYour last day in the amazing Nepal. As per international flight time, our staff will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home or to next port of call after an enjoyable adventure to Everest Base Camp with utmost grand service of Nepal Adventure Team and its guides and porters.
Passport & Visa
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Getting a visa must be the easiest one though. You just have to go to the Nepalese Embassy/consulate in your country or it can also be obtained upon your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. To get a visa, you need to bring 2 pp size photos, visa fees and valid passport.

Means of Transport
Airplane, bus or car and walking. All the cost is already included unless otherwise noted.
Travel insurance is a must when you travel abroad. Therefore before you come to Nepal, please make sure you have your insurance documents with you since our insurance companies cannot insure foreign nationals. Because of the reason that they cover all the expenses if you face some unfortunate happenings and you have to be rescued or medically assisted during the trip or if your belongings are lost or stolen.
We have arranged for the single traveller to pay for the single trip only. He has to share the accommodation with other person of same sex though while he can also join the other groups.
Foods and Accommodations
All meals are provided during trek while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. Generally, traditional Nepalese(daal, bhat, curry and pickle), Tibetan, Continental, Indian and other cuisines are available in the local lodges/teahouses. There will also be welcome and farewell dinner for guests in Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu, youll be staying in the best quality hotel basically in 3 stars, on twin-sharing basis. On trekking,accommodations are simple yet comfortable on mountain lodges. Toilets and bathrooms need to be shared while you have to pay for the hot water bath.
Note: Single room is always available but only on special request and spending extra bucks.
Health and Fitness required
No previous experience is required since its a moderate trek. But you being a healthy person, physically and mentally is very important. It is better if we prepare ourselves few days/weeks prior to the start of the trek by jogging and running regularly since well be walking a lot of ups and downs in the hills, ridges, villages and mountains. Participants with the pre-existing medical conditions should inform us beforehand.
First Aid Kit/High Altitude Sickness
Nepal Adventure Team strongly suggests that you have your own personal first aid or medical kit. This trip takes you to a height above 4000m within few days but the slow walks and regular stops between the walks will help you acclimatize on high altitude saving you from the high altitude sickness called AMS(acute mountain sickness). Gaining altitude without proper consideration of AMS is fatal. Hence, rest in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche is really necessary for the acclimatization.
Your Guide and Porter
Since the mountain trekking take you to the remote places over high altitudes, the leader should have a significant knowledge in the field so that he can wonderfully and safely lead you there clearing any obstacles on the way. We,Nepal Adventure Team can proudly say that our guides are highly qualified for the role. They are fully trained, experienced and licensed. They have undergone through a whole lot of trainings to make themselves useful in various situations and to make your journey a smooth and pleasant one.
Our porters are always fully equipped with the gears they need and as per the company policy, they are always insured and completely looked after. They are our backbone. We allow maximum weight of 25kg to be carried by one porter. We make sure that they are well paid and well treated.
Best Time to Travel
The best time for trekking to the Everest Base Camp is Spring(March to May) and Autumn(September to November) because the weather is warm and moderate while the view and visibility is the best. The winter and the summer is the less frequented times because of the cold and the monsoon rain respectively.
Equipments and Packing Lists
After booking with Nepal Adventure Team, please pack necessary items as listed:
1. Travel documents: passport, visa(if you have), travel insurance, air tickets, voucher, passport photo (x 2)
2. Bank card or credit cards, travellers cheque, etc
3. Comfortable boots and runners/sports shoes.
4. 6-8 pairs of socks woolen / cotton.
5. Fleece jacket, Down / Duvet Jacket and Rain / windproof jacket.

8. A cap for day and a woolen hat or Balaclava for evening / morning wear.

Trekking has been long established in Nepal,so the itineraries are modified and moderated in such a way that you can take it easy and slow. DO NOT RUSH AND ENJOY. There is plenty of time and guide will keep track of you all the time. It might be a bit harder or a bit more colder but you will get used to it.
Every traveller is different and they spend their own way. Some spend on food and drinks while other on souvenirs. Either way, consider your own spending habits and also tipping, emergency fund($200), etc before you pack up and leave.
Trip Specific Safety
Your guide is always there for your safety concerns and looking after your valuables. But you have to be equally careful. Carry some sort of wallet or belt for your important documents and money. The hotels have the safety deposit box where the lock is recommended before passing the luggage.

Possession or using ofany illegal drugs is totally intolerable. Its because of the law that respects the local people and their culture. The group will be expelled in such case.

The groups safety is very important for us. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Even though every effort is made to go as planned, a little change might occur in the itinerary because of weather conditions, health condition of a person, unexpected natural disasters, etc. So youre advised to be flexible in such cases.
In event of flight cancellation/delay in/out of Lukla:
Due to bad weather conditions(might even happen in best season), it is very likely that the flight to/from Lukla could be delayed or cancelled so make sure you have a day or two extra in your plan.
