Everest view trekking as per the name stands is a mesmerizing trek along the winding valleys and high ridges of the Khumbu region with views of the highest, Mt. Everest. Walking along the high hills gives you the privilege to interact with the Sherpa community and experience their age-old culture and tradition.

Starting from a wondrous flight towards Lukla, the trek takes you to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park; Namche Bazaar. The Everest View trekking trail takes you through rich forests of pines, oaks and beautiful rhododendron and eventually into an open area with abundant snow. The highlight of the entire trek is indeed the panoramic view of mountains like MT. Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, which are all known to stand as the highest in the world.

Day 04:Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)You will enter Nepal through the Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu. Our NAT agents will drive you to your respective hotels where you will be warmly welcomed with fresh drinks and food. You will be briefed about the trek on this day and will also continue with packing important luggage and equipment necessary for the trek. You can stroll around Thamel at night to capture the nightlife in Kathmandu.

Day 02Fly to Lukla (2,820 m) and trek to Phakding (2,640 m) - 4 hoursOn this day you will begin the tour and head towards Khumbu region via a flight to Lukla. This 35-minute flight is known to be one of the most panoramic and wonderful flights in Nepal. You will be bidding goodbye to views of towns and heading towards green and white landscapes. On arrival at Lukla, our guides will brief you about the trek. You will then head to Phakding on this very day. On the way, you will pass through Sherpa settlements and follow the glacial Dudh Koshi river. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 03Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) - 5 hours On this day you will be entering the Sagarmatha National Park which is known to be the highest national park. Namche Bazar has most of the facilities required by the trekkers. With ATM, Banks, Cyber Cafes, Shops, and post offices, you will not have any difficulty in communication here. However, after Namche, you will not find these modern facilities anywhere throughout the trek. Upon reaching Namche you can take rest and eat a hot meal.

Day 04Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursionThis day has been reserved to acclimatize your body against altitude sickness. Namche is a wonderful place. You can hike uphill to acclimatize your body as well as find panoramic views of high standing mountains. You can visit the mountain museum in Namche which is very insightful.

Day 05Trek to Thyangboche (3,867 m) - 5 hoursOn this day, you will head towards Thyangboche which will take about 5 hours. After a nice walk for about an hour, you will begin seeing views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Kwagde, and Thamserku peaks which is indeed a blessing on a clear day. You will walk through the forest with rhododendron and pines and reach Thyangboche Monastery. The monastery is very peaceful and invites you to some soul seeing with views of Amadablam, Thamserku ahead of you. The head lama, Rinpoche also resides here. If you want you can take the blessings of the high priest as well. Stay overnight at camp.

Day 06Trek to Khumjung (3,780 m) - 4 hours You will begin your trek towards Khumjung by following the trail that runs alongside Dudh Koshi River. Khumjung is a valley which is surrounded by Thamserku, and Kondge peak on all its sides. You will also get a chance to view the Khumbila peak. Stay overnight at camp.

Day 07Trek to Monjo (2,835 m) 5 hours After having breakfast, you will begin the trek towards Monjo which is near the exit point of Sagarmatha National Park. The path runs alongside the glacial Dudh Koshi river. The hike is relatively easy and does not require much effort as the previous days. Stay overnight at camp.

Day 08Trek to Lukla (2,820 m) - 4 1/2 hours This day is the final day of a hike for the Everest View trekking. After the beautiful trek, you will be saying goodbye to the flora and fauna, beautiful landscape of the Khumbu region. After reaching Lukla you can have a warm meal with the locals. You can drink, dance and sing with your Nepali friends. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 09Fly back to Kathmandu After breakfast, you will take a flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. The 35-minute flight makes you remember the beautiful time you had as you see the mountain range from above. Upon reaching Kathmandu you will be transferred to your hotel where you can spend the rest of the time enjoying in the nightclubs or roaming around Thamel.

Day 10Finale departure to your country and home After a wonderful trek, you will be heading back towards home. Our NAT coordinates will drop you off at the Tribhuvan international airport after a farewell breakfast. After a remarkable time in the Khumbu region with our team, you can plan your next trip around Nepal on your way home.

Passport & Visa

All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Getting a visa must be the easiest one though. You just have to go to the Nepalese Embassy/consulate in your country or it can also be obtained upon your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. To get a visa, you need to bring 2 pp size photos, visa fees and valid passport.

Means of Transport

Tourist bus or private vehicle and walking. All the cost is already included unless otherwise noted.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is a must when you travel abroad. Therefore before you come to Nepal, please make sure you have your insurance documents with you since our insurance companies cannot insure foreign nationals. Because of the reason that they cover all the expenses if you face some unfortunate happenings and you have to be rescued or medically assisted during the trip or if your belongings are lost or stolen.

Solo Travellers

We have arranged for the single traveller to pay for the single trip only. He has to share the accommodation with other person of same sex though while he can also join the other groups.

Foods and Accommodations

All meals are provided during trek while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Generally, traditional Nepalese(daal, bhat, curry and pickle), Tibetan, Continental, Indian and other cuisines are available in the local lodges/teahouses. There will also be welcome and farewell dinner for guests in Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu, youll be staying in the best quality standard hotel, on twin-sharing basis. On trekking, accommodations are simple yet comfortable on mountain lodges. Toilets and bathrooms need to be shared in some teahouses.
Note: Single room is always available but only on special request and spending extra bucks.

Health and Fitness required

No previous experience is required since its a moderate trek. But you being a healthy person, physically and mentally is very important. It is better if we prepare ourselves few days/weeks prior to the start of the trek by jogging and running regularly since well be walking a lot of ups and downs in the hills, ridges, villages and mountains. Participants with the pre-existing medical conditions should inform us beforehand.

First Aid Kit/High Altitude Sickness

Nepal Adventure Team strongly suggests that you have your own personal first aid or medical kit. This trip takes you to some high altitudes though not much but the slow walks and regular stops between the walks will help you acclimatize on high altitude saving you from the high altitude sickness called AMS(acute mountain sickness). Gaining altitude without proper consideration of AMS is fatal.

Your Guide and Porter

Since the mountain trekking take you to the remote places over high altitudes, the leader should have a significant knowledge in the field so that he can wonderfully and safely lead you there clearing any obstacles on the way. We,Nepal Adventure Team can proudly say that our guides are highly qualified for the role. They are fully  trained, experienced and licensed. They have undergone through a whole lot of trainings to make themselves useful in various situations and to make your journey a smooth and pleasant one.
Our porters are always fully equipped with the gears they need and as per the company policy, they are always insured and completely looked after. They are our backbone. We allow maximum weight of 25kg to be carried by one porter. We make sure that they are well paid and well treated.

Best Time to Travel

The best time for trekking to the Annapurna circuit is Spring(March to May) and Autumn(September to November) because the weather is warm and  moderate while the view and visibility is the best. The winter is also somehow fine but the monsoon is the less frequented time because of the occasional heavy rain and when the roads might be troublesome.

Equipments and Packing Lists

After booking with Nepal Adventure Team, please pack necessary items as listed:
1. Travel documents: passport, visa(if you have), travel insurance, air tickets, voucher, passport photo (x 2)
2. Bank card or credit cards, travellers cheque, etc
3. Comfortable boots and runners/sports shoes.
4. 6-8 pairs of socks woolen / cotton.
5. Fleece jacket, Down / Duvet Jacket and Rain / windproof jacket.
6. Gloves- 2 pairs.
7. T-shirts 4-6 pcs, shirts(woolen/cotton).
8. A cap for day and a woolen hat or Balaclava for evening / morning wear.
9. Trousers.
10. Short and tracksuits.
11. Sleeping bag (4 seasons)  with inner liner.

4.  Sun /snow glass.
5.  Ski / walking poles(optional but useful).

Precautionary Note

Trekking has been long established in Nepal,so the itineraries are modified and moderated in such a way that you can take it easy and slow. DO NOT RUSH AND ENJOY. There is plenty of time and guide will keep track of you all the time. It might be a bit harder or a bit more colder but you will get used to it.

Additional Money

Every traveller is different and they spend their own way. Some spend on food and drinks while other on souvenirs. Either way, consider your own spending habits and also tipping, emergency fund($200), etc before you pack up and leave.

Trip Specific Safety

Your guide is always there for your safety concerns and looking after your valuables. But you have to be equally careful. Carry some sort of wallet or belt for your important documents and money. The hotels have the safety deposit box where the lock is recommended before passing the luggage.

A Couple of Rules

Possession or using of any illegal drugs is totally intolerable. Its because of the law that respects the local people and their culture. The group will be expelled in such case.

Trip Note

The group’s safety is very important for us. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Even though every effort is made to go as planned, a little change might occur in the itinerary because of weather conditions, health condition of a person, unexpected natural disasters, etc. So you’re advised to be flexible in such cases.

In event of flight cancellation/delay in/out of Lukla:

Due to bad weather conditions (might even happen in best season), it is very likely that the flight to/from Lukla could be delayed or cancelled so make sure you have a day or two extra in your plan.
