Asias most popular National Park, Chitwan National Park is famous for the elusive "Royal Bengal Tiger". The park habitats more than 200 One Horned Indian Rhinoceros, 4 species of Deer, Bears, Monkeys, Leopards and many different species of mammals and reptiles, and it is also a home of thousand species variety of birds. One of the oldest and most popular National Parks in Nepal is situated within the inner subtropical Terai lowlands of Southern-Central Nepal. The park was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1984.
The Park covers a pristine area with a unique eco-system of significant value to the world. It contains the Churia hills, ox-bow lakes and flood plains of the rivers Rapti, Reu and Narayani. There are more than 43 species of mammals in the park. The park is home to the fresh water Gharial crocodile along with many other common species such as gaur (Asian bison) wild elephants, four horned antelopes, striped hyenas, pangolins, Gangetic dolphins, monitor lizards and pythons. Other animals found in the park include sambars, chital (spotted deer) barking deer, sloth bear, palm civets, languor and rhesus monkeys. The park is also famous for over exotic 450 species of birds. Among the endangered birds are the Bengal florican, the Giant Hornbill, the Lesser Florican, the Black Stork and White Stork. Common birds seen in the park including Peafowl, Red Jungle fowl, and different species of Egrets, Herons, Kingfishers, Flycatchers and Woodpeckers. The best time for bird watching is around March and December. More than 45 species of amphibians and reptiles have been recorded in the park.
Chitwan National Park is also an educational field for botanists and zoologists alike, the park is actively engaged in scientific studies and research concerning several species of wild fauna and flora. Chitwan National Park has many lodges and tented camps inside and outside as well. The park can be reached via 190 km drive(5 hrs) and by Air about a 20 mins flight to Megauli or to Bharatpur including a short ride by elephant or by a four wheel drive. It may also be reached by the ultimate, Rafting on the Trisuli River.

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu 1350mUpon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be received by the warm welcome of the staffs of Nepal Adventure Team and transfer you to the hotel. Short briefings will be done regarding the next day's trip, the country, the culture and your stay in hotels. Welcome dinner. 3 star hotel or equivalent.
Day 02Drive to Chitwan-5 hrs After having early breakfast, you'll drive to Chitwan and get transferred to hotel. Rest up, take your lunch and get ready to explore the rural Tharu villages. Go to National Park info center and head for amazing sunset view by the Rapti river bank. Back to hotel. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. 3 star hotel or equivalent.
Day 03Various activities in Chitwan Wake up call for tea/coffee and breakfast. This is the main day and you will be immersed in a lot of fun activities. Elephant ride and jungle walk, Canoeing in Rapti river, Elephant bath show and breeding center visit, Back with elephant safari and more. After an enjoyable day, back to hotel. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. 3 star hotel or equivalent.
Day 04Bird watching and drive to KathmanduEarly morning, you will go for watching the varieties of birds. If lucky, this will be a day you'll never forget. Drive back to Kathmandu for a amazing farewell dinner on standby. Breakfast and Farewell dinner. 3 star hotel or equivalent.
Day 05International departure This day your trip comes to an end with the Nepal Adventure Team's staffs escorting you to the airport and bidding you farewell with a small departing gift from our side. Breakfast.

Passport & Visa
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Getting a visa must be the easiest one though. You just have to go to the Nepalese Embassy/consulate in your country or it can also be obtained upon your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. To get a visa, you need to bring 2 pp size photos, visa fees and valid passport.

Means of Transport
Private car, bus and walking. All the cost is already included unless otherwise noted.
Travel insurance is a must when you travel abroad. Therefore before you come to Nepal, please make sure you have your insurance documents with you since our insurance companies cannot insure foreign nationals. Because of the reason that they cover all the expenses if you face some unfortunate happenings and you have to be rescued or medically assisted during the trip or if your belongings are lost or stolen.
We have arranged for the single traveller to pay for the single trip only. He has to share the accommodation with other person of same sex though while he can also join the other groups.
Foods and Accommodations
All meals are provided during trek while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. Generally, traditional Nepalese(daal, bhat, curry and pickle), Tibetan, Continental, Indian and other cuisines are available in the local lodges/teahouses. There will also be welcome and farewell dinner for guests in Kathmandu. In Kathmandu and Chitwan, youll be staying in the best quality hotel basically in 3 stars, on twin-sharing basis.
Note: Single room is always available but only on special request and spending extra bucks.
It is very important to drink the water when you are doing jungle safari. Please drink enough water and its available en route which you have to buy.
Best Time to Travel
You can travel any time of the year for this trip.
Every traveller is different and they spend their own way. Some spend on food and drinks while other on souvenirs. Either way, consider your own spending habits and also tipping, emergency fund($200), etc before you pack up and leave.
Trip Specific Safety
Your guide is always there for your safety concerns and looking after your valuables. But you have to be equally careful. Carry some sort of wallet or belt for your important documents and money. The hotels have the safety deposit box where the lock is recommended before passing the luggage.

The groups safety is very important for us. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Even though every effort is made to go as planned, a little change might occur in the itinerary because of weather conditions, health condition of a person, unexpected natural disasters, etc. The leader will try to ensure the trip runs as planned, but please be prepared to be flexible just in case.
Note: Optional. You can have a full day sightseeing in Kathmandu if you wish to do so. Besides taking a bus to Chitwan, you can do 3 hours river rafting to Chitwan or (1 night 2 days rafting added in your itinerary). Please let us know and we will change it to your requirements.
