Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines. On arrival at Kathmandu international airport terminal, Nepal Adventure Team staffs and guide will receive you with a warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu, Thamel. After refreshment our guide / leader will brief with information regarding hotels, Nepal Buddhism Tour with welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with folk cultural program.
Day 02Sightseeing tour in KathmanduAfter breakfast our city guide will take you on a full day tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, as Kathmandu valley is steeped in ancient history and culture, full of world heritage sites and monuments. We will start our tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu such as: Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Swoyambunath (Known as Monkey temple) and then we will visit to Bouddhanath Stupa and continue sightseeing at Pashupatinath in the afternoon. Overnight in hotel.
Day 03Drive to Pokhara - 06 hrs journey. Morning, scenic drive to Pokhara for 5-6 hours following the Trisuli River for some time and heading due west to Pokhara, a popular touristic spot in all Himalaya region blessed with natural beauty where the high Annapurna mountain range and majestic Mt. Machapuchare “Fish Tail” reflects on its serene Phewa and Begnas lake. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 04At Pokhara sunrise view and hike to Buddhist Peace Stupa. Tour begins early morning with a short drive to a hill side, Sarangkot for stunning sunrise view over array of snowcapped mountains from world’s 7th highest Mt. Dhaulagiri 8,167 m, 10th highest Mt. Annapurna 8,091 m and 8th highest Mt. Manaslu 8,163 m to range of smaller peaks with ever majestic Mt. Machapuchare “Fish Tail” 6,993 m. Sarangkot is also famous for paragliding which is one of the most popular adventure sports around. Return back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, a short boat ride and hike to Peace Stupa, a Buddhist pagoda monument on a hilltop. It offers tremendous overwhelming views of Pokhara valley and the snow capped peaks towards north. Afternoon, visit Tibetan Refugee Camp & Monastery. Experience the rumbling of monks chanting.
Day 05Drive to Lumbini the birth place of Lord Buddha - 06 hrs. Today you'll have a long drive towards Far South West Nepal to Lumbini located on the flatland Terai. A nice drive with views of Nepal’s countryside and traditional farm villages and amphitheatre of terraces to arrive Bhairawa. From here another hour of good drive brings you to holy site of Lumbini where many good hotels and resorts are available.
Day 06In Lumbini explore the Buddhist area and monasteries. Morning begins with interesting and impressive tour of sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born. Lumbini, the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautam, the Shakya prince and the ultimate Buddha, the Enlightened One, is the pilgrimage destination of the world’s millions of followers of Buddhism. UNESCO has listed the Ashoka pillar as a World Heritage Site. The main attraction at Lumbini remains the Sacred Garden, which possess all the treasures of the historic period. The Mayadevi temple is another attraction for pilgrims and archaeologists alike. To the south of the pillar, we find the sacred pond, Puskarni, where Queen Mayadevi had taken a bath just before giving birth to Lord Buddha. Visit also monasteries built by different Buddhist countries including some from Europe and retire back to hotel.
Day 07Drive to Nagarkot via Kathmandu - 08 hrs. Longest drive day but fascinating and exciting as you will see more of Nepal with overland drive. Starting early morning after breakfast drive leads back into mid-hills on leaving the flatland Terai, finally our scenic drive brings you at Kathmandu valley suburb and continue past medieval city of Bhaktapur to the top of a hill where Nagarkot is located, offering incredible views of sunrise / sunset over chain of Himalayan peaks.
Day 08Drive to Dhulikhel and Namobuddha with Patan / Lalitpur. In the morning, drive towards Bhaktapur. On reaching Dhulikhel, an interesting Newari town with grand views of mountains, drive south in a peaceful environment to Namobuddha, the holiest Buddhist place. "The place where Buddha offered his body to a tigress". From here, our interesting drive leads towards Patan(Lalitpur) meaning the ‘city of arts’. Tour around old Palace area with courtyard (Durbar) and huge stone temple, Krishna Temple. After a great interesting day return back to hotel.
Day 09Drive and visit Pharping meditation cave of Guru Padmasamava. Another interesting drive towards south of Kathmandu city and beyond the valley rim near Chobhar gorge where Goddess Manjushree cut the gorge and let the water flow outside, from when the valley became suitable to stay. Whereas, Pharping has its own ancient history, and called the village of history. Great Gurus of Hinduism and Buddhism got enlightened at Pharping. It is a famous religious place. Great Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) got enlightened at Asura Cave, Gorakhanath and Sheshnarayan Cave at Pharping. Back to hotel.
Day 10Free day in Kathmandu with optional tour on request. A free and leisure day for individual activities and shopping souvenirs after an enjoyable visit around Nepal's best Buddhism areas. For interested people, more sightseeing tour at places of interest and there's also mountain flight to Everest and a lot more to choose from.
Day 11International departure for homeward bound. Your last day in amazing Nepal. As per international flight time, our staff will transfer you to international airport for your flight back home or to next port of call, after a great Nepal Buddhism tour with Nepal Adventure Team.
Passport & Visa
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Getting a visa must be the easiest one though. You just have to go to the Nepalese Embassy/consulate in your country or it can also be obtained upon your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. To get a visa, you need to bring 2 pp size photos, visa fees and valid passport.

Means of Transport
Tourist bus or private vehicle and walking. All the cost is already included unless otherwise noted.
Travel insurance is a must when you travel abroad. Therefore before you come to Nepal, please make sure you have your insurance documents with you since our insurance companies cannot insure foreign nationals. Because of the reason that they cover all the expenses if you face some unfortunate happenings and you have to be rescued or medically assisted during the trip or if your belongings are lost or stolen.
We have arranged for the single traveller to pay for the single trip only. He has to share the accommodation with other person of same sex though while he can also join the other groups.
Foods and Accommodations
Only breakfast will be available throughout the journey. Generally, traditional Nepalese(daal, bhat, curry and pickle), Tibetan, Continental, Indian and other cuisines are available in the local lodges/teahouses. Theres multiple choices in the hotels. There will also be welcome and farewell dinner for guests in Kathmandu. Youll be staying in the best quality standard hotel, on twin-sharing basis.
Note: Single room is always available but only on special request and spending extra bucks.
Health and Fitness required
No previous experience is required since its a moderate trek. But you being a healthy person, physically and mentally is very important. It is better if we prepare ourselves few days/weeks prior to the start of the trek by jogging and running regularly since well be walking a lot of ups and downs in the hills, ridges, villages and mountains. Participants with the pre-existing medical conditions should inform us beforehand.

We,Nepal Adventure Team can proudly say that our guides are highly qualified for the role. They are fully trained, experienced and licensed. They have undergone through a whole lot of trainings to make themselves useful in various situations and to make your journey a smooth and pleasant one.
Our porters are always fully equipped with the gears they need and as per the company policy, they are always insured and completely looked after. They are our backbone. We allow maximum weight of 25kg to be carried by one porter. We make sure that they are well paid and well treated.
Best Time to Travel
The best time for Nepal Buddhism Tour is Spring(March to May) and Autumn(September to November) because the weather is warm and moderate while the view and visibility is the best. The winter is also somehow fine but the monsoon is the less frequented time because of the occasional heavy rain and when the roads might be troublesome.
Equipments and Packing Lists
After booking with Nepal Adventure Team, please pack necessary items as listed:
1. Travel documents: passport, visa(if you have), travel insurance, air tickets, voucher, passport photo (x 2)

3. Comfortable boots and runners/sports shoes.
4. 6-8 pairs of socks woolen / cotton.
5. Fleece jacket, Down / Duvet Jacket and Rain / windproof jacket.

8. A cap for day and a woolen hat or Balaclava for evening / morning wear.

11. Sleeping bag (4 seasons) with inner liner.

Trekking and tour has been long established in Nepal,so the itineraries are modified and moderated in such a way that you can take it easy and slow. DO NOT RUSH AND ENJOY. There is plenty of time and guide will keep track of you all the time. It might be a bit harder or a bit more colder but you will get used to it.
Every traveller is different and they spend their own way. Some spend on food and drinks while other on souvenirs. Either way, consider your own spending habits and also tipping, emergency fund($200), etc before you pack up and leave.
Trip Specific Safety
Your guide is always there for your safety concerns and looking after your valuables. But you have to be equally careful. Carry some sort of wallet or belt for your important documents and money. The hotels have the safety deposit box where the lock is recommended before passing the luggage.

Possession or using of any illegal drugs is totally intolerable. Its because of the law that respects the local people and their culture. The group will be expelled in such case.

The groups safety is very important for us. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Even though every effort is made to go as planned, a little change might occur in the itinerary because of weather conditions, health condition of a person, unexpected natural disasters, etc. The leader will try to ensure the trip runs as planned, but please be prepared to be flexible just in case.
