Paldor Peak with a height of (5,896 m/ 19,344ft) lies southeast of Ganesh Himal (7,422 m / 24,350ft) range marking the junction of Tiru and Karpu Danda Ridges at the head of the Mailung Khola, one of the tributaries of Trishuli River. Paldor Peak trails move through Langtang National Park with fewer people and chaos such that an option to Everest Region Trek. Paldor Peak is the perfect destination for peak climbing who want something different than the most popular Everest Region and Sagarmatha National Park. Experiences and Difficulties: Paldor Peak Climbing

As per different sources, Paldor Peak was 1st climbed during the monsoon of 1949 by Bill Tilman, Peter Lloyd, Tenzing Sherpa, and Da Namgyal through North-East Ridge. Paldor Peak can be climbed from North East, South East, West, and southwest Ridges. Since the Paldor Peak is less than (6000m/ 19,685 ft), climbers feel easier to the summit. Paldor Peak Base Camp will be set in a valley at (4600 m/ 15092 ft). elevation just below the merger of Paldor East and Paldor West glaciers whereas; Paldor High Camp will be set at around (5200 m/ 17060 ft). The distance between High Camp and Paldor’s top is not large which makes it easier and less strenuous in comparison to Mera Peak Climbing.

Besides, Paldor Peak is one of the closest ones to Kathmandu Valley which can be ascended in less period but foreign travelers need to acclimatize to the high elevation which demands a slow and steady walk along with a rest day at a different stop.

Though Paldor Peak is less than 6000m / 19,685ft in height, it is regarded as a technical peak filled with adventure, learning, and developing skills. Physical fitness is the basic criterion for peak climbing as one has to walk miles for days as well as cope with rising elevation. Paldor Peak Climbing Transportation

Paldor Peak Climbing is mostly about trekking and climbing with basic climbing skills. Yet you will be driving up to Syabrubesi, a small town in the Langtang region, for 6-7 hours. The roadway is smooth and bumpy as some miles are pitched and some are off-road through the uphill. Usually, the climbers will catch up on the regular public bus.

On request, we can also arrange a jeep to Syabrubesi. Due to the uphill off-road path, only buses and jeeps are available to reach Syabrubesi. Besides, for your pick/drop to and from the hotel and airport private vehicle is arranged as per the number of pax. Private vehicle is used for your sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
