• Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu, 1,400m/4,593ft
    Nepal Adventure Team will be at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu to welcome you to Nepal. Nepal Adventure Team representative will lead you to Thamel and settle you at the hotel. For your welcome, Nepal Adventure Team will organize a Welcome Dinner along with a culture program for you. The program also aims at giving best wishes for your Annapurna Sanctuary Trek journey and let you communicate with your guide.  
    • Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

      Early morning, your road trip to Pokhara begins through Prithvi Highway. The highway will open you to the typical Nepali countryside lifestyle and environment. The road will be filled with forests, green hills, fast-flowing rivers (Trishuli and Marsyangdi), small settlements, and terraced farmlands.

      Within 8 hours, you will reach Pokhara. The guide will lead to your hotel for resting and relaxing. You can stroll around the street of Lakeside and feel the chilly breeze from Phewa Lake. If interested, you can go boating and visit Taal Barahi Temple, the temple located on the island of Phewa Lake. 

      • Day 3 Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Ulleri, 2070m/6,791 ft

        After breakfast, you will have 1-2 hours road trip to reach Nayapul. From Nayapul , you will start to trek along the bank of Modi Khola (rivulets). ABC area is the origin of Modi Khola. On this day, you will stay at Ulleri.

        You will pass by Birethanti (1,015m/3,330 ft) village with many shops and teahouses. The main inhabitants of this village are Gurung, Magar and Thakali. The trail will continue the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola through villages and climbs to Hille (1,495m/4,905 ft). The short climb will take you to Tikhedhunga (1570m/5,151 ft) and further steep climb will land you to Ulleri, Magar (one of the ethnic communities) village.

        • Day 4 Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani, 2840m/9,318 ft

          After breakfast, we begin our journey from Ulleri to Ghorepani village. Today’s ascend is gentle compared to the ascend to Ulleri. However, you have to climb uphill through dense forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti (2250m/7,382 ft). Sometimes, the trekkers also encounter Lonmgur (long tail black mouth Monkey) jumping among the trees. After an hour's walk from Nangethanti (2,460m/8,071 ft), you will arrive at Ghorepani (2840m/9,318 ft). Ghorepani is the center of the stop to observe stunning sunrise from Poonhill Viewpoint. You will have to sleep early on this day for the sunrise from Poon hill.

          • Day 5 Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani, 2, 520m/8,268 ft via Poon hill , 3,210 m/10,532 ft

            This will be a long day for you as you will need to wake up too early to catch the sunrise and continue Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. You will hike about 45 minutes up to Poon Hill (3210m) from Ghorepani. Poon hill viewpoint provides an unobstructed sunrise over the high Himalayas with panoramic view giants Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, and ranges of other peaks.

            Then, you will return to Ghorepani for breakfast and head to Tadapani. The path consists of climbing alongside ridges with pine and rhododendron forests to the Deurali. Following the path of descends through waterfalls, streams, and dense forest; you will pass Banthati to reach Tadapani. Tadapani means ‘hot water’ and the village supplies water to surrounding areas. 

            • Day 6 Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk, 2,012m/6,601 ft

              This day is quite easier for you to trek and also a break from long walk such that you will be energizing for the rest of the trekking days left in your Annapurna Sanctuary journey. After a late wake-up and breakfast, we will descend steeply through the dense forests with breathtaking panorama views of the Ghandruk village. Ghandruk village is inhabited by Gurung people and is a fine example of a beautiful blend of culture and nature.

              Ghandruk is one of the must-stop spots of the Annapurna Trekking region. So, you will be staying at Ghandruk village and can explore the surrounding, visit the old Gurung museum, try the Gurung cultural dress and jewelry as well as Annapurna Conservation Area Office.

              • Day 7 Trek from Ghandruk to Sinuwa, 2,340m /7677 ft

                If you wake up early, you will catch the snowcapped mountains turned golden due to the rays of the sun and showcasing the excellent view of hills, mountains, and village. A body filled with warm breakfast and heart filled with a pleasant view of Ghandruk, you will walk on a stone-paved trail to Komrong hill.

                Then, you will walk down through the forests and terraced fields to Kimrong Khola, offering a good view of the upper Modi valley. The crossing suspension bridge, passing another Gurung village, and climbing up, you will catch the main trail of Chomrong, 2,140m/7021 ft. The trail goes on uphill through forests and landslide ridge to Chomrong. From Chomrong, you will descend down through a steep staircase connected with a suspension bridge over Chomrong Khola. After crossing the suspension bridge, you will climb uphill to stay at Sinuwa village. Sinuwa village is separated as lower Sinuwa and Upper Sinuwa within 15 minutes of distance. 

                • Day 8 Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali, 3,200m/10,499 ft

                  With no delay, we begin to walk from Sinuwa to Deurali. The trail leads us through the dense forest and steep walk down to a rock bank through thick bamboo at the bottom of the gorge to Bamboo village. You will go up along the Modi Khola forest to the Dovan. You will also pass by Hinko cave to reach Deurali for an overnight stay.

                  On the ridge above Hinko is the stretch of trail that is subject to avalanches. Stay overnight at a guesthouse.

                  • Day 9 Trek from Deurali to ABC, 4,130m/13,550 ft via Machhapuchhre Base Camp 3,700m/12,139

                    After breakfast, the trail will lead us to the heart of Sanctuary, Annapurna Base Camp, for our overnight stay. The trail goes uphill for few hours passing some roofless shepherd's huts along the side of a moraine - this area is windy, often snowbound, and subjected to avalanches. You will also walk along Modi rivulets and could feel the change in the type of vegetation, breeze, and weather.

                    Then, you will meet Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m/12,139), which isn’t really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted, giving the amazing view of mountains, rivers, and ridges. You will walk for 2 hours on a trail offering superb scenery and amazing panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. The evening view at Annapurna Base Camp will take away all the tiredness by offering a speechless view. You should be sure to wake up early to catch the mesmerizing magic of sunrise on the Himalayas. 

                    • Day 10 Trek from ABC to Bamboo, 2,345m/7,694 ft

                      Having mindblowing, mind pleasing and stunning moments with the view and surroundings of Annapurna Base Camp, you will head back to Bamboo. The moment of sunset and sunrise at Annapurna Base Camp makes all the sweat and walk worthwhile. You will also realize all the appreciation and praiseworthy words for Annapurna Base Camp were not enough and must visit the place to realize its prettiness.

                      Bypassing avalanches subjected area, walking along Modi Khola, bidding byes to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Hinku Cave, Dovan and land at Bamboo for the overnight stay.

                      • Day 11 Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada, 1,780m/5,840 ft
                        The trail follows the same route until Chomrong. You will pass Sinuwa and Khuldighar through rhododendron and bamboo forests with majestic mountain scenery, especially Mt. Machhapuchhre. From the ancient Gurung village Chomrong, the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu Dada which used to be popular for hot springs. You will stay at Jhinu Dada, on the hilly side. 
                        • Day 12 Trek from Jhinu Dada to Tolka, 1790m/ 5,873 ft
                          From Jhinu Dada, you will descend to Komrong Khola and cross a long suspension bridge. You may encounter many trekkers on this bridge as it is one of the finest trekking trails in the world. You will reach Himalpani with a beautiful waterfall directing you towards another Gurung village, Landruk. Then, move ahead to Tolka for an overnight stay. You can explore the Tolka, the Magar village for the rest of the day.
                          • Day 13 Trek from Tolka to Kande, 1700m/5,577 ft and drive to Pokhara

                            The path is decorated with forests, birds, ferns, and orchids. After crossing another suspension bridge, you will climb to Bheri Kharka and land at top of the hill, Deurali (2010m/6595 ft). It gives great views of mountains which are also visible in the Pokhara valley. You will also pass another popular Pothana village which has a tourist check post.

                            Then, walk towards Australian Base camp, where people come for camping under the amazing view of the Himalayas. Until you reach the main highway, Kande, you will walk downhill through the rhododendron forest. You will drive to Pokhara from Kande.

                            • Day 14 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
                              Your journey of Annapurna Sanctuary Trek begins to end as you drive back to Kathmandu. You will drive through the same Prithivi Highway. Nepal Adventure Team will organize Farewell Dinner where we all will celebrate your successful and pleasing journey of Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. 
                              • Day 15 International Departure
                                Nepal Adventure Team will drop you at International Airport as per your flight schedule. We hope to serve you in your further journey in Nepal and nearby destinations of Nepal: Bhutan, India.
