Why land at Kala Patthar than at Everest Base Camp?
Kala Patthar at 5550m is the best vantage point to get the best view of Mt. Everest than Everest Base Camp and from Kala Patthar, you not only get to see Mt. Everest but also the whole Everest region mountains including Gaurishankar, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Makalu, Cholatse, Nuptse, Pumori, Lhotse and many more.
Another drawback why not landing at EBC is that the weather is not always favorable here and sometimes landing is not possible.
Do we land at Everest Base Camp?
Yes, it is possible you land at Everest Base Camp only if the weather condition is good. But the weather at the Base Camp is not always favorable.
If you want to be at the Everest Base Camp and the weather is good, if such condition the helicopter can land at Everest Base Camp.
Is Altitude sickness a problem?
Any altitude above 3,000 m can cause altitude sickness. But during the Helicopter tour, you do not need to worry about altitude sickness as the pressure is adequately maintained inside the helicopter so the flight will be comfortable.
Keeping altitude sickness in mind, you will be spending only about 10-15 minutes in Kala Patthar which is more than enough time to enjoy and take plenty of photos of the scenic view of the Everest region.
What happens if the flight is canceled?
The weather is quite unpredictable in the high altitudes of Nepal. Flight delays or cancellations can occur in bad weather conditions. If your flight gets canceled, you will be scheduled for the next day.
If you do not have enough time for postponing the flight, you will get a refund. The Company will refund as per their policy.
