Langtang Valley trek is fascinating trekking around the central Himalayas of the Langtang region. During Langtang Valley trek 7 days, trekkers walk through Nepal’s 2nd largest Langtang National Park(1710 sq km) established in early 1976, the first National Park around Himalaya. Langtang Valley Trek is fabulous as the trail leads through high hills, ridges, and the local habitat of ethnic group: Tamang, Hyolmo, and Bhotias, traditional villages enriched with the Buddhist religion, culture, and tradition of Tibetan origin. Short Langtang Valley Trek is featured with the amazing vista from Annapurna Himalayan range, world’s 8th highest Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m), Ganesh Himal(7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m) Ghengu Liru (Langtang II, 6571m / 21,560ft), Kimshun (6,745m/22,137ft) and Shalbachum(6,918m / 22,699ft) to the south. Chimsedang Lekh forms a ridge of peaks which includes Naya-Kanga (5,846m) and Gangchempo terminating with Dorje Lakpa (6,980m/22,929ft) along the Short Langtang Valley Trek. To the east, there is the upper meadow of the Langtang ending at a massive mountain wall, forming the frontier with Tibet.

    On the first day of Short Langtang Valley Trek, you will head towards the north passing number of small towns and farm villages as Kakani, Trisuli, Ramche. The air gets cooler as you will drive to higher altitudes. One of the major towns of the Langtang area as well as of Rasuwa district is Dhunc-he. Dhunche is the last spot where you could see the markets and shops such that you will be able to buy any left out things for the journey of Short Langtang Valley Trek. So, you will stop for a while at Dhunche. Consequently, the charm of nature spills out in the form of hills, woods, clear sky, waterfalls, farms, ridges as you leave Kathmandu valley behind. From Dhunche, the journey continues downhill on the winding road for another hour to reach our first overnight stop at Syabrubesi village. Syabrubesi is a small village on the bank of Trisuli river where you will see the majestic fast-flowing Trisuli river.

  • Day 02 Trek to Lama Hotel (2,430 m) - 05 hours.
    The morning starts with breakfast at Syabvrubesi and a walk towards the Lama Hotel. The first day of Short Langtang Valley Trek walk begins with a steep climb of a few hours which gradually gets gentle as you will move forward. Then, you will trek through the path complemented by terraced farms, scattered houses, and small villages. We take a break at Bamboo where you will have lunch for the day and rest a while to re-energize for the rest of the day. After a break, walk leads on the uphill trail into a cool forest of rhododendron, oaks, and pines tree lines also followed by the gorge of Trisuli River. Trishuli river directly flows from the glacier of Langtang peaks such that Langtang peak is the origin of the Trishuli river. We reach Lama hotel, one of the famous villages of the Langtang area for the night stay.
    • Day 03 Trek to Langtang village (3,430 m) - 04 hours.
      On this day, the distance allocated for a trek is lesser so the trek begins around midday. Ghoretable is the next destination as we leave the Lama Hotel. Ghoretable will serve you the lunch and a rest for a while. Then, you will directly march towards the overnight stop, Langtang Village. Langtang village is a moderate-sized village of Tamang and Bhotia’s tribe people who are the natives of the Langtang region for hundreds of years. These people belong to the indigenous community of Nepal who holds era old culture, language, customs, and tradition. Langtang village not just will take you close to nature but also introduce to the ethnic culture and lifestyle of local indigenous people. With the combination of nature and culture, you will have a pleasant night stay.
      • Day 04 Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,850 m) - 04 hours.
        From Langtang village, you will walk on the steep hill where tree lines declines and short bushes rise. Gradually, we enter the wide glacial valley with incredible views of the landscape and snowcapped peaks: Dorji Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Tsego RI, Langshisha and Naya Kanga. After a walk decorated by peak and tall hills, you will reach at Kyanjin Gompa for an overnight stop. Kyanjin Gompa is a wonderful spot with wide green pastures/ grazing land for Yaks and other cattle surrounded by peaks and hills. The pleasure of being at Kyanjin Gompa and the eye-pleasing views makes you forget the hardship to climb the ridges up to Kyanjin Gompa. 
        • Day 05 Kyanjin Gompa to Rimche
          Now, you will walk to end the Short Langtang Valley Trek as you walk downward to Syabrubensi. You will pass all the village as Langtang, Ghoretabela, and Lama Hotel accompanied by woods and bridges over rivers. Though you walk through the same trail you will be staying at Rimche than the villages in earlier trekking days. To make Short Langtang Valley trek more interesting, Rimche is chosen for the stay rather than Langtang village or Lama Hotel as you would be staying at them on the earlier days of trekking. You will observe the new environment and the locals. On this day, you will check out from Langtang National Park.
          • Day 06 Rimche to Syabru bensi (1,460m)
            On this day, you will straightly head towards Syabru Bensi from Rimche and you will stay at Syabru Bensi so you can head to Kathmandu on the following day. You will pass Bamboo, one of the villages of Langtang Region. You will reach the starting as well as the ending day of Short Langtang Valley Trek.
            • Day 07 Drive back to Kathmandu - 06 hours.
              Through the overland drive for about 6 hrs through ridges and hills, you arrive in the capital city, Kathmandu. You will also pass the checkpoint of Langtang National Park to ensure that valuable vegetation or wildlife of Langtang National Park has not been traded by any visitors. Any of the resources from Langtang National Park is restricted to be carried. After, long scenic drive on Arniko Highway, you land on the vibrant Kathmandu valley with all the advanced services and facilities.
