  • Day 02 Sightseeing around Kathmandu

    On this day you will be briefed about the Tibet Mount Kailash tour by our team. After breakfast, you can visit various religious sites and monuments around Kathmandu. Some of the world heritage sites that you can visit and Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After exploring all these sites, you can feast yourself to authentic Newari food if you desire. Stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 03 Drive to Kerung (2900 m) from Kathmandu (1350m)
    The day begins with a scenic drive to Kerung early in the morning. Kerung is a 175 Km drive from Kathmandu. You will have to clear all the immigration and customs formalities. You will also you’re your Chinese guide and Bus drivers and then processed the journey to Kerung. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kerung.

  • Day 04 Rest Day at Kerung (2,900 m)
    To acclimatize your body from the sudden change in the altitude, you will be taking rest for a day. This day you can roam around Kerung and see some landmarks around the area.

  • Day 05 Drive to Saga (4450m) or Dongba
    You will drive from Kerung to Saga this day. The drive is very long. You will pass through a vast Tibetan plateau. The sandy and rocky Tibetan land are worth viewing. A few lakes will be seen along the way. You will also encounter the nomad communities chasing their herds of yaks and sheep across the land. You will have crossed Bhrama Putra River, a holy Hindu river, by afternoon. You will get to see the authentic and ancient Chinese/Tibetian towns. Stay overnight in Saga.

  • Day 06 Drive to Manasarovar (4558m)

    You will drive towards Mansarovar on this day. You will pass through a valley with many rivers along the way. The vast grazing land full of yaks and sheep is a sight not to be missed. Along the way, you will get to see the high standing, snow-covered mountains on the south. The nearby landscape that you will be passing has lots of sand dunes and rocky peaks. The authentic and traditional costumes and lifestyle of the nomads living in the area will fascinate you. You will be greeted with smiles in the various tea houses and lodges along the way. As the afternoon sun shines, the sightings of the Holy Kailash Parbat will be seen. You will then reach a small village nearby Lake Mansarovar which is known as Hore. Manasarovar Lake is one of the holiest lakes as per the beliefs of Buddhists, Bon, and Hindus. Manasarovar is one of the highest lakes with freshwater and a glassy completion of the sky above. You will see lovely swans floating and fishes swimming in the Mansarovar lake. The area is known to be filled with gold and other mines. You will also get the opportunity to take a bath in the hot springs. You will spend the night in a Lodge in Manasarovar.

  • Day 07 Puja and drive to Darchen (4575m)

    You will get to see the majestic Mount Kailash standing with all its glory. Mt. Gurula-Mandata and Lake Rashekshi will also be seen in the surroundings of Manasarovar. Since Manasarovar is known to be of great religious importance to the pilgrims, taking a bath in the lake and giving some offering is known to give you a prosperous and happy life. After the puja in the morning, you will head towards Darchen. Darchen is known to be the base camp for the Holy KailashParikrama. You will spend the night in Darchen.

  • Day 08 Trek to DeharaPuk (5000m)

    On this day, you will walk through beautiful rocky cliffs and witness magnificent waterfalls along the way. Generally, the weather is, and the sky is clear blue with hints of clouds. In the pleasant atmosphere, you will almost feel like Lord Shiva is looking at you and blessing you. You will also see highlights of Kailash Parbat as you keep on walking. You will walk for almost 7 hours to cover 18 km.

  • Day 09 Reach the Dolma-la Pass (5636 m)

    You will be trekking to the Dolma La Pass this day. It is the most challenging part of the trek but known to be the most beautiful and peaceful. You will walk between two valleys. You will have to cross Yamasthal to reach the Shiva-sthal. It is believed that Shiva-sthal is the place symbolizing death. Many pilgrims leave their old clothes, a spin of their hair or a drop of blood in Shiva-Sthal so that Yamaraj, the god of death, will be attracted to these signs and eventually let the Pilgrims pass the Dolma-La. The Hindus believe that Dolma La is associated with Goddess Parvati who is the wife of Lord Shiva. Buddhist believe that Dolma la is the Goddess of Mercy. Therefore the crossing represents cleansing the soul of the previous sins after being forgiven by Dolma La Devi. Tibetian prayer flags can be seen swiftly flowing with the wind along the way. You can sit down and meditate at the top of the pass. As you descend, you will get to witness the beautiful Parvati-sthal and GauriKunda. In the afternoon, you will arrive at ZuthalPuk which is known to be the “Cave of Miracles.” It is said that the monk Milerappa performed miracles in the cave.

  • Day 10 End of Kailash Parikrama. Drive to Dongba

    You will trek for 2 hours to reach towards your jeep. You will then be driven to Darchen. Eventually, you will then drive to Dongba with other participants. Stay overnight at a guesthouse in Dongba.

  • Day 11 Drive to Kerung City

    It will take nearly 6 hours to drive to Kerung City from Dongba. You will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Kerung.

  • Day 12 Drive back to Kathmandu

    You will have your breakfast and leave for Kathmandu. It is a 175 km drive from Kerung to Kathmandu.
