• Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines.

    On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal Adventure Team staff receive you and transfer to the respective hotels in Thamel, tourist hub of Kathmandu. To overcome jet lag and long flight, we arrange welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant assisted by a folk cultural program.

    • Day 2 Preparation day in Kathmandu

      We separate this day for the preparation of the entire journey. You will be informed of all the trekking plans and the packing lists, what you can expect and how it can be more interesting, easy and comfortable. This day can be important to most of the people before beginning the journey. Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu is optional. If intended, you can visit a number of World Heritage listed places with the support of Nepal Adventure Team.

      • Day 3 Drive to Syabrubesi 1,460 m – 06 hours.

        Our first day journey heads north passing many towns and farm villages of Kakani, Trisuli and Ramche. The air gets cooler reaching higher altitude at Langtang National Park in Dhunche town, 1965 m high. Dhunche is a major town of Langtang and Rasuwa district where you see the different shops and stores. Probably, Dhunche is the last market for this journey ahead. After a brief stop, journey continues further downhill on the winding road for another hour to reach our first overnight stop at Syabrubesi village. Syabrubesi is a small village located in the bank of river.

        • Day 4 Trek to Lama Hotel 2,430m - 06 hours

          The first day walk starts with a climb for few hours, and then gets gentle on the gradual path through terraced farms and scattered villages. We take a break at Bamboo. After a break, walk leads on the uphill trail into cool forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines tree lines and gorge following the Trisuli River fed from the glacier of Langtang peaks. We reach Lama hotel for the night stay.

          • Day 5 Trek to Langtang village 3,430m - 06 hours.

            Around mid day, the continuous walk takes you to Ghoretabla. After lunch break, afternoon trek continues to our overnight stop, Langtang village. Langtang village is a moderate sized village of Tamang and Bhotia’s tribe people who are the natives of Langtang region since hundreds of years. Langtang village not just take you close to nature but also introduce to the ethnic culture and lifestyle of local people.

            • Day 6 Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,850m - 04 hours.

              We walk on the steep hill where tree lines declines and short bushes rise. Gradually, we enter the wide glacial valley with incredible views of surrounding and snowcapped peaks, Dorji Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Tsego ri, Langshisha and Naya Kanga. After a scenic walk, we reach at Kyanjin Gompa for overnight stop. Wonderful spot with wide green pastures or grazing land for Yaks and other cattle can be seen.

              • Day 7 At Kyanjin Gompa rest and hike.

                A necessary rest day at Kyanjin and optional hike to a hilltop of Tsergo Ri at 5,033m. The climb to Tsergo Ri is quite steep and requires good physical fitness. Tsergo Ri offers awesome views of high mountains being at high altitude of 5,033m. Afternoon, enjoying the stunning peaks and exploring the surrounding, you return to Kyanjin for the comfortable night stay.

                • Day 8 Trek to Lama Hotel - 06 hrs.

                  After a great time at Kyanjin around beautiful Langtang valley, we start a long day walk. Since, we walk on downhill trail, it is much easier. We aim to stay at Lama Hotel passing through Langtang Village and Ghoretabla following the Langtang Khola. Usually, we trek for longer distance if we have to walk on downhill trails. 

                  • Day 9 Trek to Thulo Syabru 2,211m - 05 hrs.

                    We walk through farm terraces of millets, corns and wheat depending upon the season. Moving ahead from the farm area we start to uphill climb from the area where landslide had taken place in past year. Moving ahead on winding uphill path, we reach Thulo Syabru or Upper Syabru for overnight stay. Houses are lined up in a row like a locomotive in Thulo Syabru village.

                    • Day 10 Trek to Shing Gompa 3,330m - 05 hours.

                      From Thulo Syabru, our route gets divert from Langtang Valley trek as we head toward Shing Gompa instead of Syabrubesi village. Our walk on a steep path gets started through lovely forest of rhododendron, pines and hemlocks with fantastic views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Langtang Lirung. After hours of hike on uphill, we reache on a gentle path to Shing Gompa (also called Chandanbari) for overnight stop. There is small settlement with few lodges and small cheese processing factory located here. Chandhanbari gives us the beautiful view of mountains, hills and valleys on clear day.

                      • Day 11 Trek to Gosainkunda 4,460 m - 05 hrs.

                        From Shing Gompa (Chandhanbari), we further climb through thick pine and rhododendron forest. On the top of a hill, small settlement can be seen which is Lauri Binayak. If you starts you walk in early morning or at the evening time, you could see the clouds below the hills. This scene is normally seen in the time of sunrise or sunset in clear days. Lauri Binayak is popular place where elusive and rare Red Panda are seen. An hour walk from Lauri Binayak leads to the top of another hill which gives wider insight of mountains, valleys, village and woods. Further, the paths are winding and less steep. While walking towards Gosaikunda Lake, we encounter numbers of small ponds and waterfalls. The path is narrow through the rocky hills leading us to Gosaikunda Lake. Gosainkunda Lake area carries high religious values to Hindu as holy books explains that pond was formed due to strike on rocky land by Trishul (a holy Trident) of Lord Shiva. Thus, thousands of pilgrims from India and Nepal visits Gosainkunda every year on the month of August – September.

                        • Day 12 Trek to Gopte 3,440 m over Laurabina pass at 4,609 m - 07 hrs.

                          This day of trek is normally termed as the hardest day of this journey as you climb over Laurabina eastern pass at 4,609. After the pass, the path goes downhill most of the way with few short ups and downs to Gopte Odar. Gopte Odar is a small place situated in the middle of juniper, rhododendron and pines forest between Langtang and Helambu area. We stay at Gopte Odar for the night.

                          • Day 13 Trek to Kutumsang 2,445m via Mange-Ghot 3,285 m - 06 hrs.

                            From Gopte, morning walk leads to a high ridge at Thadepati, where Helambu and Kathmandu trekking trail meets. Thadepati offers super views of snowcapped peaks and wonderful rolling hills and valley. After a nice break here walk leads on the downhill path most of the way to our overnight stop at Kutumsang village.

                            • Day 14 Trek to Gulbhanjyang 2,125 m - 05 hours.

                              Morning walk on winding uphill trail through farm fields, terraces and villages with few ups and downhill takes into a patch of forest. This path gives the grand views of surrounding landscapes and high snow capped mountain range from Ganesh, Langtang to Jugal Himal. This pleasant walk completes for the day at Gul-Bhanjyang village.

                              • Day 15 Trek to Chisapani Danda 2,195 m - 05 hours.

                                Morning starts with a short uphill walk through farmlands, small villages and forest with wonderful scenery throughout the walk to Patibanjayang village. Then, we move on uphill path for an hour to Chisopani. Chisopani village is located on a ridge of the hill on route Kathmandu, Langtang, Helambu and Nagarkot. This scenic spot offers views of Langtang-Jugal Himal range with Ganesh-Manaslu and Annapurna range with stunning sunrise.

                                • Day 16 Trek to Sundarijal 1,380m an hour drive back to Kathmandu.

                                  After catching the morning sunrise views over snowcapped mountains, our last day walk of this adventure leads through nice pleasant forest and many farmlands on gradual downhill path. Mostly, we need to walk through staircase. The walk towards Sundarijal provides the wide super views of Kathmandu Valley. Sundarijal (meaning beautiful water) is a magnificent spot with small forest and fresh water streams, waterfall and small cave is a weekly picnic spot for people of Kathmandu. A short drive takes us back to Kathmandu.

                                  • Day 17 International departure for homeward bound.

                                    As per your flight time, our staff transfers you to international airport for your flight back home or to next port of call.
