On arrival at Kathmandu international airport terminal Nepal, Adventure Team staff and guide will receive you with a warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu around the interesting area of Thamel. After refreshment our guide/leader will brief with information regarding hotels, Nepali culture, tours and Pisang Peak Climb with welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with folk cultural program.
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines.
Day 2 In Kathmandu sightseeing tour at places of interest.
After breakfast, our city guide will take you on a half-day tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, as Kathmandu valley is steeped in ancient history and culture, full of world heritage sites and monuments, after an enjoyable and interesting time back to the hotel with afternoon free at leisure and preparation for Pisang Peak Climb.
Day 3 Drive to Jagat (1,290 m) via Besishahar (800 m) - 08 hours.
Morning with interesting and scenic long drive towards Nepal mid west, journey leads to Beshishar town then on the dirt road to Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream, the drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange, from here with a slow climb leaving the Marsyangdi River behind to reach first overnight stop at Jagat village, a farm village with many lodges for trekkers.
Day 4 Trek to Dharapani (1,920 m) - 05 hours.
From Jagat village start the first walk of this trip on a gradual winding path to Chamje, and back at Marsyangdi River to crossing on the eastern bank and into a forested area, with superb views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges, as the walk advances on the wide path to a nice village of Tal Besi, Here for lunch break, and then another 2-3 hours walk leads at Dharapani village for overnight stop, Dharapani a nice village situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.
Day 5 Trek to Chame (2,670 m) - 05 hours.
After Dharapani walks along the wide winding trail into serene rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagachap and Danque, then to Tamang village from here onwards into more Buddhist culture village with a grand view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft, from Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for an overnight stop, Chame a large and major town of Manang area and as well a headquarter of Manang district.
Day 6 Trek to Pisang (3, 230 m) - 05 hours.
From here onwards the air gets cooler and fresh as the walk leads close to mountains, morning walk leads through enchanting alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following the Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland to Dhukure Pokhari a small place with few teahouses and lodge overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, with a lunch break here, walk descends to lower Pisang village for an overnight stop.
Day 7 Rest day at Pisang for local hikes and acclimatization.
Rest day in Pisang village at this high altitude, necessary for acclimatization before heading high to Pisang Peak climb, on this day with free morning take a short hike around, as walking higher and sleeping at low elevation helps to acclimatize well. This rest day also helps to plan the climb where our guide offer necessary information on the area, culture, religion and climbing skill required for the climb.
Day 8 Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380m) - 04 hours.
After a nice rest in Pisang village, our route leads towards the north of upper Pisang village, as the tree lines drop for short few bushes around pasture or grazing land, called Kharka. Climb to a high ridgeline near Pisang peak, our guide will set overnight as the base camp around 4,380 meters high, the first night in tents with camping facilities and meals prepared by our expert cooks and kitchen staff.
Day 9 Trek and climb to High Camp (5,400 m) - 03 hours.
A short day but tough due to high altitude, morning walk follows a faint trail where few climbers and Yak herders hardly use this path to high camp, as the walk leads over rocks, ice, and glacier to reach the bottom of Pisang Peak where the high camp is set for the climb. Afternoon our guide will scout the area for a safe accessible route to the summit fixing ropes and making ice ledges where necessary, High Camp situated on a long ridge of Pisang Peak, under some conditions this area may be under snow, afternoon free to sort the gear with preparation for the early morning climb.
Day 10 Climb Pisang Peak and return to base camp time permitting to Pisang village.
Our target and Big Day! of this adventure starting before dawn climb over moraine and rubble of ice falls, following our lead guide reaching high above on a well-defined ridge towards last snow slope, leading quite steeply without any difficulty but with some technical sections and then climb all the way to Pisang summit with great help and support of our expert guide. On reaching the summit take a rest and admire the beautiful panorama of the whole Annapurna Mountains and towards north and west Chulu range with Damodar peaks as well beyond Chulu peaks, view of Manaslu towards the eastern horizon. After being in the highest spot of this adventure descent by the same route to base camp, as time permits and possible with physical strength after the climb descend all the way to Pisang village.
Day 11 Reserve day in case of bad weather condition
An extra day as contingency, in case of unfavorable weather conditions sometimes weather can be unpredictable around Himalaya, so an extra day is necessary, if all goes well can be used on the way to Manang village or at Jomsom with short day walk enjoying the great scenery along the way.
Day 12 Trek to Manang (3,350m) - 04 hours.
On reaching Pisang or Nagwal village, the upper trail to Manang village walks is easier descending with views of high snow-capped peaks, reaching at Humde village with a short air-strip. Walk from here is on gradual path most of the way to Manang via Braga village with interesting monastery. The largest in the district, it has an outstanding display of statues, thangkas and the religious manuscripts. From here it is only an hour walk to Manang for the overnight stop. From Pisang onwards to Manang houses are built in traditional Tibetan style as people of Manang practice rich Buddhism religion, culture, and traditions.
Day 13 Trek to Yak Kharka (4,110 m) - 04 hours.
After overnight in Manang, morning easy walk on gradual path passing last village of Manang at Tenke and then in complete wilderness with gentle uphill walk to Ghunsang village with great views of Gangapurna, Tilicho and Chulu West peaks, then slowly reaching at Yak Kharka for lunch and overnight stop with great views.
Day 14 Trek to Thorong High Camp (4,600 m) - 04 hours.
As the walk advances to the high area, heading closer to the base of Thorang-la as the walk leads to cross a bridge and then a climb along the riverbank of Jarjung, as the walk leads at Thorung Phedi, here depending upon the physical conditions of the clients if all goes well an hour steep climb to Thorang High Camp for an overnight stop.
Day 15 Trek to Muktinath (3,800m) crossing Thorong-La (5,416 m) - 06 hours.
Big Day! the highlight of this great adventure, after an early breakfast walk, leads to a long climb up to Thorang-la with a steep terrain and winding path to Thorung La Pass at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft. The highest altitude gain of this adventure with a superb vista of landscapes and snowcapped peaks, from here a long descend to Muktinath at 3,800 m. On reaching Muktinath for an overnight stop, a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.
Day 16 Trek to Jomsom (2, 715 m) - 04 hours.
After Muktinath, rest of the journey is much easier with moderate walks with a big drop of 1,200m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley, this pleasant walk leads to Kaligandaki river valley, from here onward gets much windy during afternoon time as the walk brings at Jomsom, the headquarter town of Mustang region with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River. Lunch and overnight in Jomsom a nice town with afternoon free for a stroll around the town and shops.
Day 17 Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
Morning walk to Jomsom small airport for short sweeping and scenic flight to picturesque Pokhara valley, Pokhara with massive Annapurna mountain views with serene Phewa Lake where most of the hotel are located.
Day 18 Drive or fly back to Kathmandu - 06 hours.
Morning a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, after a wonderful trip around the Annapurna area with Pisang Peak climb, reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure for relaxation and shopping souvenirs. (Flying options as per the flight time our staff transfer you to Pokhara domestic airport for 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu)
Day 19 International departure for homeward bound.
Your last day in amazing Nepal as per international flight time our staff will transfer you to international airport for your flight back home or to the next port of call after a great and remarkable adventure around Annapurna with Pisang Peak Climb with grand service of Nepal Adventure Team its guides and staff.
